Hello Ronald, Welcome mate. Your Series 1 car has been near the top of my register of S1\'s for quite a while. It was in Oxfordshire? And I knew you had it over in Ireland.
It\'s one of only 2 \'T\' Registered cars on my list that are runners or SORN.

Quote from: mooragerx7;646173not sure if you have mine A89VUW gen 1 series 3 in silver
also had a c reg one also in silver (will find out the reg later in the week  but i beleave its no longer)
and stripped C580EHU ( lhd with kuwi body kit, brown leather interia and a stright dash

Believe it or not but your Reg has driven me crazy. Your Silver car has been on my list for yonks but no Reg No. to link to it - so thanks very much indeed.
And C580 EHU has been on my register with it\'s number, but as a runner, location not known. Moved it now to the list of known scrappers. So 2 birds together, Thanks mate.
PS - You might have the only 1st Gen left in Cambs if my collecting is anything to go by! Please let me have that 3rd car Reg...
Hope to see more of you and Ron (Ireland) on the 1st Gen Forum.

Quote from: Ian65;646039Dave,
what are the latest totals for the 1st gens, runners and sorned?

For Series 1: Total 11

For Series 2: Total 41

For Series 3: Total 125

If you think there\'s not been an increase in the S2\'s and S3\'s, in spite of all your great spotting (everyone....many thanks for your interest), then that\'s because I\'ve been decreasing them in line with that DVLA search you told me about Ian. If a car\'s gone from the DVLA database I\'ve been moving it to the Scrappers pile. I think that\'s about right.
As you know I can\'t get Excel spreadsheets to upload to the forum, so I\'ve uploaded in Word in the past, which isn\'t quite so good. If anyone wants the Excel sheet however, showing rough locations of cars please let me have an email address. As before though NO registrations and NO exact locations will be revealed. dgnock at btopenworld dot com

Thanks for that David, that\'s really suprised me. I would have thought that there would have been more cars than that.
Are these numbers just licensed cars or licensed and sorned, or even licensed, sorned and unlicensed?

If you please email me the excel doc, I\'d be fascinated to read it.

My email is ian08 at sky dot com

Later on....Goodoh... CSI\'s come on the telly so the wife\'s off catching homicidal maniacs in the States. Something much more interesting for me.

About 40% to 50% of those numbers are SORNED or unlicenced at DVLA, therefore only about half are running on the roads/on track at the present time.

Quote from: myatt1972;646310Another e-bay special,
Keith.
I know this car, it\'s the only UK 1st Gen convertible I\'ve ever come across.
Possibly an after market body job?
It was on ebay earlier this year and located quite near to me in Yorkshire. However I can\'t find it on ebay now. What did you search under Keith?

Thanks Keith. As said the wheels and exhaust are probably worth it to any Series 2 owner. Plus there\'s the Clarion CD and Weber Carb.
Thanks again Dave
