Hehe, it\'s the usual height - which is also the standard height I believe.

Any lower and I wouldn\'t get on/off my drive :(

Will eventually be investing in top adjustables so once I\'m off the drive I can lower it a tad, that or I\'ll just have to move house!

Cor what a fine pair they are! :D

Quite right Gurj, missed out C-West by accident, does indeed look fantastic! :cool Think that\'s the first time i\'ve seen a good pic of the feed type II R, also massively impressive.

Can i ask a quick q? Noticed you have mesh there Chris, is that not supposed to negatively impact the FD\'s performance re. breathing? Seem to remember Brian talking about this a while ago?

Yep it will negatively impact cooling, how much is beyond me limited knowledge of physics though!  I would think/hope not much though.

It\'s a trade off between protecting the radiator and oil coolers and getting maximum air flow.  I\'d like to run without it but if I do that then you can bet your @ss some suicide bunny will choose me as it\'s method of destruction :/ :p

Perhaps I\'ll remove it when I upgrade my rad.

:rollin Fair enough mate! After reading the \'magpies\' thread i think you\'ve got the right idea! These rogue pidgeons/magpies/rabbits/sheep(!) sound lethal!

This debate about Mesh stopping airflow???

Surely it canna effect the airflow too much can it???

Although the mesh i have is quite widely bodied not really thick mesh.

Yes mate, i can\'t imagine it could have too much of an impact, but i suppose with the RX being a bit fickle with regards cooling, heat soak and the rest it might make a lil difference?

http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7229

But as Chris pointed out, not as much difference as a bird through the radiator! And you\'d have to put big warning sign on your FD Gurj, to warn parents to keep hold of their lil kiddies in case the were sucked up off the pavement by the Purple One! :cool

Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to post the links and pics, your cars look excellent. :god

I can\'t wait to get mine into the bodyshop now, I\'m going to go with INGS front and rear bumpers, Veilside C2 rear wing and a scoot bonnet, still not 100% on what skirts to get so I\'ll just have to keep looking.  Anyone had any experience with the gull-wing door kits?

Once again, thanks guys :D

Brad

P.S. Sorry for the thread hijack.

FDDreamer

Noooooooooooo!! I was really hoping to be the first with that kit! But, i suppose getting an FD first would help.

Great taste dude, that\'s all i can say. VS skirts are wicked (Gurj might have a good pic? ;) ) and i think would go well with the scoot bonnet and VS wing.

Have you seen the Re-Amemiya AD9 bonnet or the Mazdaspeed jobbie? They\'re both awesome (RE-A is my fave), might be worth a look? Think Geff (sp?) at Re:Worx stocks them.

Anyway, keep us posted matey, wouldn\'t believe how much the prospect of watching an FD project unfold can speed up the working day! :)

hey..there is some VERY nice RX`s here..gaz 1011..you are gonna have to show me that black beauty in the flesh being as you live so close...now im gonna get the kleenex out now and start sulking cus i have not had much luck with my Fd lately..firstly a woman decided to go into the side of me on an island,  then the engine decides to start playing up..i have noticed that the engine oil has the same consistency as water..its also stinks of petrol and is black in colour.surely this is not right so shortly after an oil/filter change  just a couple hundered miles ago??..i have read posts and it could be a possible leaking or stuck injector.Knowing these engines it could be absolutley anything?? hoses, solenoids etc.. has any1 had this problem before? the engine does chuck `some` black smoke out at high boost but otherwise drives as normal
