When are you thinking of coming down?

Very busy at the moment but will find time soon.

i think they\'d look really good if they were a bit slimmer and at less of an acute angle to the A Pillar.

although, if it were legal i\'d remove my side mirrors altogether and smooth up the holes :rolleyes:

Once again thanks for comments (all of them).
For those who didn\'t mention why, what was it that didn\'t agree with them?;
the concept (-didn\'t like it being rotor shaped)?
or specifics (e.g. size, position/angle to body, etc)?

[Please also remember that the finish will be carbon fibre, the yellow/black colour split was only to help illustrate shape]

The general opinion was;
1. 1 single strut instead of 2
2. Central mounting point
3. Thinner side profile/shallower housing

so...

Also cheers Jono and Ash for your additional suggestions, interestly enough the prototype I\'ve been working on more recently is bike mirror-esque.. It\'s a lot more aggresive (angular/sharp). It\'s more suitable for aggresively styled modified RX7\'s, not so much the smooth curves of a standard car. It\'s been a real... challenge so far bringing it to life and trying it from every angle.

And to Laeeq, I will look into putting the designs in the standard position -is this something you think would look good specifically on this design, or do you prefer the standard position in general?
I feel a poll coming on... :D

I quite like them, but them I\'m a little bias cos I\'ve been looking into something similar, although the rotor shape was positioned 90 degrees clockwise and tried to mount it in the original position (on the doors) but I couldn\'t get it to look right and I was using dense stydrophone as my plug but then came the problem of mounting the mirror (mirrored acrylic as its easy to shape).  Alas didn\'t finish it but do have some of the plugs in the garage.

That design mounted on the wing would look well cool imho :cheers

Agreed.........

Good on you for throwing some ideas into the mix, its good to see people in the UK pushing for new parts, and while I think that the current prototype needs work, some of the suggestions could make it look spot on.  I for one would like to see a design come from the OE mounting position...

Oliver

Maybe just reduce the size and in someway try to keep the rotary shape?

^^^ i like that, but it would have to be in the middle of the platform.
