Well here at Head Quarters we have been busy on the wing mirror front. So we have the first of a couple of concepts to hopefully take to conception..they are totally built from scratch and are original products.

So Concept No1 is below. What do you think?

We haven\'t put a mirror in it as yet as it is still at conceptual level..and I would like to get peoples thoughts first.

I have tried to keep the rotary theme, but without making it too prominent for fear of it looking tacky.

So over to you guys...hopefully this will be as constructive as last time :)

To be honest mate i think thats \'orrible. Might look good on a complete car tho. No offence

Personally, i think you\'ll be doing no favours, go for aerodynamics over style, I\'m pretty sure people will buy some if they are proven to be aerodynamic

I think this has potential Jon.  It does look more unique and better than the last mirror.

This is my personal opinion about what I would do with it.  I would try and have one stalk to the mirror that finishes straight into the high point of the back of the rotor shape, instead of two M3 style stalks.  Secondly I would try and make the mirror slightly shallower in side profile if possible.  But thats just my opinion. ;)

Shot looking from the back to the front looks excellent though. :)

got to admit with the others, they look terrible

not a fan I\'m afraid matey.... think it might be better to throw a load of ideas down on paper in sketch form & put them up rather than spend alot of time making a concept modle??

Just my thoughts matey ;) if you want... I could have a play with a few ideas??

Hillman Imp in the background? :D

I think the proportions need some work. Pull the front corner into the corner of the window, and round the thing off some more. The FD doesn\'t like sharp edges lol.

My advice would be to take a look at highend bike mirrors, like this one:

...and develop it from there. At the moment the front of the mirror seems to pull outwards and will make the car look boss-eyed. Go for a single strong support over multiple ones, leading directly into the front point.

I\'ve no Alias or scanner at the moment, but can try something in Photoshop over the weekend.

We have another one in the making at the mo

maybe the single arm is better than the double

I don\'t think the photo does it justice unfortunately it does look good in the flesh. But I am grateful for the feedback thus far :)

yes it is an imp in the background. Haven\'t yet convinced him to let us put a rotary in yet ;-)

It\'s not very reflective for a mirror, is it? :D

Better than the spaniel\'s ear shaped last one, but still not for me. Sorry :(

I think these will look good mounted upwards on 2 bars in oem position rather then on triangle.  i like them:Thumbs-up

We are sketching them first...but what looks good on paper isn\'t transferring across to reality :(

I would be grateful to you both if you are able to sketch some designs.

In fact this is open to anyone....I will make the winning version and then send you the first version in Carbon or to a colour of your choice.

Actually i quite like those, potential there - and it makes a refreshing change from the tiny rectangular ones like the craftsquare type everyone seems to like at the moment which i hate!! Keep up the UK FD aftermarket design & development guys, it is much appreciated!! I\'m saving up for one of your steering racks at the moment!
