I\'ve been offered  a locost chassis that is complete but has never been SVA\'d-it\'s gotta 1300 x flow but has been built very well, the chap just lost interest. Can you do a bit of an ongoing update kiwi? I\'d be interested to see how it pans out and let you figure out the awkward bits. :bandit:

Good luck with the build anyway-it\'s gonna be spectacular.

I drive a discovery too so at least I\'d be in something of familiar build quality then!:D

Fair point though, I\'ll make enquiries.

They are quite a bit different to the westfields and Caterhams

looking good,  what are your first impressions??  any idea of weight?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I will have it on the scales at work n a couple of weeks when we sneak out for a we test session. I only drove it around my back garden but just trying to get it out of the garage made me realize that this is a beast. I am going to have to remember I am not racing in a tin top any more.
I think I am going to put skid marks down in my shorts.

antnicuk

i do it in mine regularly............ back for a remap in a couple of weeks from 0.8 bar to 1.1 .... ish  :)

then you will do lots of this..........

Just a little update.
After running a 13.4 at the jap finals and fighting with a miss fire all day we took it home and drew up a list of "to do" jobs.
I got an invite by another of my sponsors to go to shakespeare on 31st of october for a photoshoot and obviosly the obligatory thrash down the strip.
At this stage I said yes but also said I wouldnt be there until after lunch as even though its a bit of a detour for me I got the car booked in for a roller session at WGT. After setting off from castle kiwimazda at 5am I made good time and and we had the car set up and ready to go for 9am. After trying lots of differing combos on jets, timing fuel pressure etc etc we had 140bhp at the wheels. I was hoping for more than this but we are now working on it to get it sorted out and where it should be. But the decission was taken to miss giving it a thrash and also the photo shoot was now missed also. Thats very dissapointing. So I set off home for another 4hr drive.
many things were learnt the most important being
Take some one(preferably good looking lady friend(if you dont have one borrow one) for the journey to keep you company
Remember to stop at the services for a pee when you need it and not think that you can make it to the next one. It does not matter if you do not like the slip road going in, just go and have a pee or you will get soaked standing in the pouring rain between the tow car and trailer trying not to loose you dignity.
Eat food. I finally ate on the way home at about 4.30pm. when I was finished so were burger king for the day.
After the trailer was taken back to its home and I got back in doors I tried to drink a whiskey at home about 8pm but nodded off and made my trousers look like I had missed the services on the motorway. What a waste of whiskey
