Quote from: GrizzlyI don\'t want to question you logic, but why? will it give you better MPG or something? I have 550\'s and 1600\'s and i\'ve never had a problem with Atomization?? its all about Set up.

Basicaly...... say the injector is putting fuel in for 0.1 of a second.

you have to flow 1600cc of fuel through in that 0.1 sec, compaird to a 850cc spraying the fuel through a finer nozzel, the larger injector is effectivly pooring it in rather than misting it, so by putting in another set of smaller injectors you are getting a greater fuel delivery, but it is misted rather than poored.

Hope it makes sence??

You would think so but it does\'nt really work like that if you have it set up correctly. Your talking about running a 1600cc in a car with a map for a 850?

Pooring it in is a bad example as both injectors have to Atomize efficantly or it would not run properly / would be Unpredictable and very hard to set up, The 1600\'s are a bad example as you would not really want to use them at low rpm where the air speed would not help turn the fuel to vapor.

You should really forget the size of the Secondarys because from experiance its more important to keep the injectors atomizing properly when the air speed is low (i.e. The primarys at low rpm), Lets put it this way if you can set a pair of 850cc injectors in the Primary roll and set the Off boost/Low air speed mixture up spot on you are not going to have a problem with 1600cc\'s at 1 bar of boost (if you get my drift)

I know what your saying in the 0.1 of a second the Injector is open, but what your missing is the time the injector is open is tailored to the amount of fuel you want (I.e. a 850 may be open .1 but a 1600 is open .05 to let in the same amount of fuel), don\'t forget that the fuel is under pressure and into a fast flowing stream of air, so it will vaporise the instant its released.

Using big injectors is all about the Set up, at low air speed little changes make big changes to the Mixture every thing has to be in proportion, this doesn\'t mean big injectors are bad there just harder to set up correctly.

I would definitly get everything needed before the remap. Bigger injectors, better pump etc.. I really wish i did now tbh. I only need bigger injectors and pump for a extra potential 50-60bhp!
