Timrxmotors

The mean green flying machine (FD) of Chris Impey ran a very respectable 11.31 @ 120mph at the pod on Saturday. The motor was built at RxMotors. A half bridge with a T72 running 0.8bar on a Microtech. Tyres were Toyo Cut Slicks. Only his second outting to the drag strip EVER!

BlitzBoy

awesome!!!!
I think Tim you should take some tips off Chris on how to drive the strip lol :rollin

Great time. Cant believe 1.5 sixty on street tyres, must be the air suspension!
Needs more power now though!

They are street Tyres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that is the quickest FD on street tyres. No TOTB bullsh1t timing gear!

sadgoth

Nice! I\'d have to agree with Ross, the Toyo tyres are "technically" road legal so looks like you have some competition there Mark!

Fight, fight, fight.....

So all the 9 second and 10 second runs done at TOTB are all bulls*** runs Ross?

If you say they are I will take down my sig

Yes technically they are , anyway I dont give a FDUK if Ross disputes my TOTB time, I have run consistant high 11s at POD anyway on low boost I know what my car can do.

There timing gear is notoriously random, its not just my opinion. Personally i think its a waste of time and money to run the car there as you cant trust times. Thats why we arent going to run our drag car there this year.

BlitzBoy

granted I heard that rumour as well, thats why I took my car to pod afterwards to prove that it was a consistant 11 second car, which it did on several runs.
Anyway I will be running on MT Drag radials this year on high boost

I thought it was being broken for parts - have you changed your mind?  Or do you have something else lined up? (Either is good news for the rotary community :) )

DRAGON

What times are you getting at pod compared to TOTB. Any changes to the engine between running at both venues?
