Position the seat, lower the steering column and extend and leave all as is.!!!!!!!!! You will be close to having to much weight on the rear.............:yes

MikeLMR

will have to stick a few more rotors out the front just for weight balance purposes !

Quote from: MikeLMRit will be interestig to see how well it sits ... have a few ideas if we need to move it right forward. ... my mate wants to fit the the TH400 out of his old jag LoL I told him I\'d need a couple of hundred more horsepower to justify that monster box !

Start to see a little bit of light at the end of tunnel now. Lots of remaking stuff to be done and arguing no doubt !

Just spent the last 30 mins catching up on this thread Mike. That is gonna be 1 tuff 323, I\'m liking your progress dude :cheers

the TH400 is an awsome box, rather heavy but still a good option for later on, I\'d say it would sort out any weight distribution issues you may have aswell LOL!

Cant wait for more pic\'s

Awesome thread Mike!!!...proper inspiration! I wish I had a garage..must make one as where I live is all muddy.

I would like to post a progress thingee too for my chevette project (picking chevette up tomorrow!) but I\'m not that computer literate so i\'m wondering whats the best way to post in photos? I have \'photo bucket\' but I\'m not sure how long the photos last?

I would like it for other people to use the info i\'m posting for their projects in the future and still have photos to see.

cheers

Hey Mike where dod you get the 4 link bits from?
 cheers, michael.

MikeLMR

they are competition engineering parts from the states.

Alex, the photobucket piccies last as long as you are a member I think. If you are a member of this club you can of course upload them 10 at a time to the forum as well. If you are stuck and want to post piccies e-mail them to me and I will sort them.

Ok- thanks mike. I\'d better start taking some pictures then !

MikeLMR

slow progress as usual :)

Radiator is just about mounted as I want it (needs some ducting to finish it off) gearbox mounting is nearly done too.

AND

I\'ve stripped down the standard wiring loom and i\'ve got most if not all the wiring figured out and just waiting for the steel to go into the tunnel so I can work out where the loom is going to run. I\'ve run the lighting through the inner wing now and inside the front bumper tube so there is going to be almost no wiring in the engine bay to suffer from the heat (and clutter it up)

Looking at the igntion now and thinking that the standard coils are looking a bit bulky and I\'m thinking some 2nd gen TurboII coils might be neater. Also thinking about going direct fire at the same time.

I also need to find a 13b N/A water pump + housing + stat housing and all the associated bolts ... anyone got a spare one in good condition ?

TII coil packs might be of interst as well :)

Next up ... more wiring and figuring out the oil cooler lines and mounting the fans etc.

dubber91

hello mate, im sure i got a water pump in housing and stat etc your can have....AND th turbo 2 coils....might as wll stick with th NA ones on the bug now.

Gimmie a ring or mail anytime mate

MikeLMR

dubber91

MikeLMR
