Right despite saying I wouldn\'t post on Ross\' posts I will defend myself!

This is going to court where I am asking for a large sum of money back having paid out a fortune, and then having to spend a further fortune getting the redone having trailered it away from Ross.

I haven\'t hidden behind the keyboard as you\'ve suggested...I have spoken to Ross on numerous occasions and frankly got frustrated by Ross\' unwillingness to admit that he didn\'t understand many aspects of putting together a proper track/race car!

I don\'t think that I have lost the argument, as it is good to challenge the concepts rather than accept it on face value just because it looks good!  I wasn\'t using this post to slag Ross of in any way, merely giving an objective point.  A Minardi looks good in the flesh but crap out on a circuit!!!!  You are right I didn\'t finish the degree in Mech Eng....But I did swap to specialise in applied mathematics and finished that degree!

Maybe as Clive has already stated that we are going to go to court, you should lay off me!  Once the facts are out, then maybe you might sit up and realise what issues have gone on!  God if I had read about the problems I now know about I wouldn\'t have ever gone near him, and saved myself an awful lot of money!!!

Sad for all the guys really interested in this thread, that you go back on your word, but not surprised, but i\'m not interested in your view or problems at all!i\'m interested in this fantastic Dragon car.
no doubt this brilliant thread will now be closed, and we all lose out again!

I think the bit you missed out was I WILL DEFEND MYSELF!

God this is a witch hunt!

Do you all sit and say how bad Watchdog is???

But youve brought this up again, and so that means you are helping get the post stopped....Im happy for this post and ro\'s last post to be removed if this stops the post from being locked!

MikeLMR

Right they are gone. No more please. As you have said you will both have your say on the matter and it is being sorted through the proper channels.

so...tempted to... voice.. opinion.

must....keep...topic on....track!

Gah!

Ross are any of the structural strengthening mods going to appear on your stock list some time in the future if they work out? Or maybe bolt-in versions of the things you are currently welding in? I\'ve always thought the bar that the battery sits on is too flimsy to do anything useful but the whole chassis might benefit from a little more strength in that place...

Andy_k

Dandan correct me if im wrong but i dont think that area needs the extra strength. Only the steering rack which mounts to the subframe. I\'d be interested in a brace that stops the bulk head from moving forward from the suspension turrets.

Andy_k

All I know is they are made by Auto Exe.  I dont anywhere in the UK that you can buy one, but maybe one of the vendors has a contact in Japan for them.

Bet they aint cheap though!!

Andy_k

As this is Ross\'s thread can you get them or make them?

Sorry to hi-jack.

Andy K, We will have a 3 way strut-brace for retail sales very soon.

Latest Pic of the fuel tank finally installed, its been difficult to get everything to fit, but know it is finally bolted in so I can start routing out the fuel lines etc. The fuel system is pretty special. Makes the drag car set-up look quite archaic! I have tried to keep it as simple as possible, whilst still retaining enough cc\'s for the engine.
I would love to put this much time into Drag car, but struggling to find enough time to finish this one!

RotorHeid

Dragon,
Fuel tank behind my back,:2eek whoosh!! , boooom and fireball !!
Army of Scrutineers will come to you cos I\'ve done the same as your tank and advised me to make a safe box to enclosed the fuel tank/fuel pumps or sheet of ally to cover front of the  roll cage as act like the firewall between yourself and fuel tank.
Silly question:- have you got MSA\'s blue book?.
Play it safe! and keep up with good work!.

Looks impressive the lenghts you are going to Ross but im afraid on this one i have to agree with Ian... your going to have fun when it comes to scrutineering.. i know they were strict with us in the cossie days 3-4 years ago and im sure they have strictened up even more since then..as Ian says always worth refering to the MSA book if you are going to be using it for serious track/ comp use

Cheers

The car is not designed specifically for competition use. The original idea, was just to build something for myself. However there are many race and track cars that use internal fuel cells without firewalls. And if I do want to compete with this car, it would be possible to create a firewall, between the cockpit and the cell.
