I\'d have to find another route! Which could be why it\'s there thinking about it.

Quote from: Steve-x-edge;812094Picked mine up about 2 weeks ago now, Pretty standard apart from the ridiculously hard Tanabe suspension fitted. Although I\'m getting used to it. Sits nice and low.

Steve

Just needs wheel spacers - Job Done.

2nd generation RX-7's / turbo flutter
February 16, 2012, 08:14:44 AM
Quote from: rising son;812465im sure its cause by the compressor wheel on the turbo spinning back in the opposite direction... correct me if im wrong?

The wheel does not spin backwards but it is the sound of the air pushing back past the wheel.

2nd generation RX-7's / turbo flutter
February 16, 2012, 08:11:02 AM
I have done over 50k on various turbo\'s with no DV and they still had no issue. None if them twin scroll. The net is full of advice from people with no personal experience of things they still feel qualified to comment on.

edit - I mean 50k on one turbo I have done many many more miles on not dv set ups in total.

edit 2 - none of my experience is FC specific but can\'t see what difference that would make.

3rd generation RX-7's / Compression test results
February 09, 2012, 06:39:58 PM
Quote from: rx7.eu;811658Thanks, me too. I am thinking of taking an engineer (Dave) with me and we do an interesting test: dyno the \'stock\' ecu, then dyno the \'re amamiya\' ecu and then dyno an \'apexi\' ecu (tune it too). This way we get to see the results for all and I stick with the most appropriate.

By the way I remember what the problem was; the air pump was unplugged! Why I dont know :Hammer

There was a very small water leak spotted and the guys at the moment are fitting a new gasket just to be safe.

I hope you are using mappers that have experience with Rotaries. Could be an expensive day if not. When running and tuned well they can be strong as hell I can testify to that but they do not put up with any mistakes.

All good ducting is a good thing! Dump valves are pointless.

Great work as always!

Good old thread. If you flick through you can see our own Blitzboy posted on it so it\'s not new news. Porting gets more power for less boost but there are other factors to take in to consideration depending on what you are going to use your car for.

Quote from: senodlo;809330To be honest, none of these events are worth coming to ,Spring Rotorshow @ Brooklands 21st April or Rotorstock @ Santa Pod 18th August.......:Typing.The one is a static show (with boring cars) and the other has been incorporated into a bigger event (you wont find the Rotary cars),the rotary only show has gone away from being spectacular.
I would suggest you come over for the European Drag Champs 6-9 April. You will see some good Rotary racing cars, meet the racers and have a good time.:cool

Quote from: lowslowandold;809657nope, there is a reason why its merged with another show? it was pretty quiet this year, jap show finale i think there was a total may be 4 cars on the stand

RS was a nice last year. You won\'t find more rotaries in one place this side of the world I\'m pretty sure of that.

Not enough to hold it\'s own but I\'d have thought that was obvious given the relative rare numbers of cars on the road. Integrating it feels right from here, rotaries v the rest seems to be how it is shaping up and that\'s fine with me :)
