tip on looking for a bad engine is it sounds like a traction engine when first starting and/or after a few mins white smoke blobbing out of the exhaust.

Also look out in ya rear mirror for blooms of white smoke when ya flooring it - they will blow poop out the back sometimes but big blobs of white smoke when the turbos come and even black ones for that matter are all bad.

I\'ve been using it for about a 8 months now - I really rate it, plus with the 5p off tesco give you per litre for shopping over £50 - Shell can go swivel

I used my as a daily runner with no probs at all.. go with for a rex they are a joy - an expensive joy but worth every penny

they never told me until I phoned up, i\'d had two cars with them with inductions - said they neevr will and never had insured any engine mods - anything else is fine oddly enough

no engine mods allowed with Elephant .. no air filters or anything so have a spare handy in case ya **** it hehe

Best of luck with your prob. I really do think it\'s worth taking it to a specialist. I took mine all over the place as mine never went over 0.5 bar. Turned out there were two pins that hadn\'t been put back in the rebuild hanging out (restrictor pins or somminc) and a hose had split connecting to the turbos - both were engine out jobs..

I bought a decat, new ecu and had a few trips back and forth to people who know jap cars - reworx solved it first time

ooh & I found I had 99 spec turbos woooooo
