New to MRC - introduce yourself / I\'m coming back...
November 15, 2011, 05:50:17 PM
The S14 was ok, but I wanted to put a 20B in it! Can\'t wait to be firing on all rotors again, but it won\'t be for a few months. Thanks everyone.

Hi all,
none of you will remember me, I was here for quite some about 5 years ago. I used to have a 12A turbo FB, but a local garage managed to screw it up for me, so I sold it and bought a Nissan S14. I sold that last weekend,as it wasn\'t doing it for me. Never did, to be honest. I\'ve recently decided I want a more modern car, so I will at some point be purchasing an RX-8. I\'m utterly filled with excitement at the prospect of owning a rotary again. Also, with a little one on the way, I need something relatively practical, and the 8 ticks all the boxes. Even the wife approves! Can\'t wait to be back! :WaveBye

1st generation RX-7's / goodbye cruel world
May 02, 2006, 07:45:30 PM
i hate to say it,but i finally parted with my 12a turbo a while ago.she went to Carl(by the way Carl,i have the 2nd set of keys to send to you,i\'ll send them on when i get back in the country) worse,i\'ve defected to the darkside, temporarily,at least,as i now have an s14 200sx.i\'d like to take the opportunity to thank my wonderful 12at for being so much fun, pretty, noisy and fast.i know the chances of me getting another one now are pretty minimal.one day, perhaps.goodbye cruel world, maybe my rotary zest will be reborn. :evillaugh

i\'ve never had a problem with my steering,i\'ve always found it to be very light, and you get a better feel of the road, unlike with power steering(yuck).my car is perfectly stable at 130+mph,and i bet Tim will tell you the same.

can you put a full spec list up on here,Don?As detailed as you can get it,like what injectors you are using, your custom turbo manifold etc..I\'m especially interested in what clutch you have.Everythings probably been detailed in earlier posts, but i can\'t be arsed to trawl through it all again! Thanks if you feel like doing it,Dante

front mount 13b\'s are an easy fit, but I don\'t know if any were sold in the UK, the newer ones (2nd gen on) aren\'t as easy and I don\'t think a standard twin turbo lump would fit without fitting a single (what a pity)

I would imagine you don\'t need a great deal of power to make for a fairly scary car on the road.
i believe our friend Tim shoehorned a 13b-rew into an FB.He said it used to wheelspin in 4th gear at 80mph,and topped out at something like 170mph.
