Hey all, i really do need some new tyres now.

So i am a bit of a budget, and am trying to get the best i can with the funds.

I had a look on mytyres.co.uk,

and have chosen......

Toyo Proxes T1-R, and Yokohama AVS Sports.

Anyone running these at the mo?
And how good are they?

Cheers,

Dan!!

as long as they are round and black with tread they should be fine.

Im running toyo\'s at the moment, excellent in my opinion, were very good on track last friday night and had little wear on them after about 40 laps of knockhill.(And that wasnt driving style as i tooka brand new set of brake pads to the metal in 40 laps!!) They are good in the wet, although im very cautious in the wet so probably not the best person to speak to on that!

I was running bridgestone S02 and SO3\'s before that and i would say the Toyo\'s are just as good.

Toyo\'s are excellent whether it\'s the T1-S, T1-R or R888.

Cheers donato...you wore out a brand new set of pads??? ....blimey mate....good going :D

Not too bothered about ulitmate grip in the wet....i dont like booting it in those sorts of conditions, so aslong as they are nice and grippy in the dry.

They dont do those R888\'s in my size :(

T1-R\'s is what im running.

I had to drive back to the house using the brakes as little as possible as i didnt have my spare pads with me! Great fun though! :D

Just fitted T1R\'s and am very happy. Good price to.

The toyo\'s are nice tyres, but i found i went thru them a bit quickwhen i ran them on my MR2, then i changed to Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 which i prefer, and only a few quid dearer.

I had good year eagle f1\'s on my 17" wheels, i had on previously before i got my 18" blitz technospeeds.

They were good tyres yea, but i would like to try something else so i can get a good spectrum of which are good tyres etc.

Think i will try the toyo t1-r\'s

Thanks everyone!

I found //www.blackcirles.com to be a good site too.  After an initial purchase of tyres they offer you a 10% discount too, which I am guessing could be obtained by searching for discount codes on google or similar.

No black diamond\'s mate. I have never done a track day on stock pads, i dont fancy trying either! Not one bit of fade from the black diamonds, just lots of wear!

Hopefully i wont have this problem again, i have purchased a set of \'big reds\' porsche 993 front calipers, just waiting on the chap in Germany sending them over, then i should have some considerable stopping power! Well when i have bought the disc\'s and conversion bracket that is...
