Quote from: splinter53;767609if its popping and no power its probably running lean mate, have you got a wideband installed?

i havnt got wideband installed. i have heard a lot of people talking about wideband though, especially on the american rotary sites. what exactly is it?!

@ adib: is there any way of telling if its gone into limp mode? or any way of resetting it to get it out of it?

sure any input is welcome, even if you are talking out your arse haha. yeh the engine is running fine, until i press the load pedal, then it goes t1ts up!
i was putting it down to either turbo problem or else not enough fuel getting to the engine for some reason. ill be changing fuel pump etc with the new set up.

im not far behind you there!! ha i tried a boost leak test and didnt find anything severe enough to cause this. i do have a hks single turbo kit on the way from japland so im hoping that might sort out my problem! i was told it could be a map sensor too??

hey guys,
hopefully someone can help with the problem im havin.
my fd is starting perfect every time, hot and cold. its idleing fine, but when i give it any heavy throttle at all, is it bogging down and backfiring.
my boost gauge is telling me that turbos are not boosting at all. if i ease the throttle down slowly, car is revving right up. its only happening under heavy acceloration.
is this a fuel problem or something more serious?

any help would be much appreciated

thanks

Quote from: skybusr34;624485if you got 20mm spacer i think it would be ok
the wheels i have on are 38 offset, and the arches are now 20 mm wider.
if i put 20 mm spacers on, wouldnt that be more or less the same as getting 20 offset wheels??
also what about stretching maybe a 225/235 tyre on. would that give me the clearance i need???
thanks for the help lads.

they do 8.5 but there a 38 offset and im not a bit fan of havin spacers on?
wat yous think?
the rears are 9.5 on a 10 offset but iv 50mm arches so will be ok.

3rd generation RX-7's / DILEMA! RX7 or Evo 6
April 09, 2009, 09:09:22 AM
although i love the rumble outta my scooby, its music to anyones ears!
but rx7 definitely the most exciting car you can drive!
but like has already been said, different car for different circumstances.
windy back road 4wd will always win but for a second car or a fun or track car youcant go wrong with a good oul rex!!

I have a few mods done to my rx7, front mount, alloy rad, apexi + pfc downpipe etc and i also have a blob eye impreza. i use the scooby as the daily driver because its comfortable and practicle and the 4 wheel drive is great for when your half alseep in the morning and late for work!! but getting into the rx7 is a total different experience.put the foot down in the rx and its all out mahem!!!
i forgot what the moral of this story is but i have both so i dont need to choose!!!:Thumbsup!

would pick the rx7 on looks and fun factor hands down though!!
