we should meet up sometime. i have a 420bhp skyline, a modded rx7 and my friend who i mentioned above has an evo 6 tommi mak and an rx7 - im sure you\'ll be able to see the clear differences but as said above...it depends what it is you are personally looking for.

I would enjoy any evo - they are fantastic no question.

but i would never be able to better the satisfaction of the rx7.

id sell my daily for a evo perhaps but never the rx7.

people can go on and on wats the best car but as other\'s have said both car\'s are so differant,i have had high powerd rwd car\'s and 4wd and to be honest i like them both, but the 4wd has the edge and the evo is one of the best point to point car\'s ever made.

Thats your opinion... just i HIGHLY disagree with it... lol
I have been in so many 4WD cars and it feels soulless... and that includes my mates Evo 6 on 1.5 bar of boost... he can\'t touch Kash\'s car he doesn\'t even bother racing Kash... in fact none of my mates do they just let him pass lol. And that\'s just on 1 bar.

in my mind there are 3 main jap supercars

Supra
RX7
Skyline

nsx is too expensive and the others are somewhat tame.

supra - sledgehammer
Rx7 - Scalpel
Skyline - in between simply but fantastic because of that

the others

300zx - too complex and costly too fix but underated
GTO - cruiser - same as 300 but looks like a wedge
sx\'s all tame - tunable but tame
evo\'s & scoobies i class in the category as they dont excite me although i think they are massive fun. Capable but tame due to lack of driver control. almost drives itself.

I think you will agree that the rx7 against all these is the clear winner looks wise & head turning capability.

although i love the rumble outta my scooby, its music to anyones ears!
but rx7 definitely the most exciting car you can drive!
but like has already been said, different car for different circumstances.
windy back road 4wd will always win but for a second car or a fun or track car youcant go wrong with a good oul rex!!

stocky

i had a scooby was fun for a month or two but very BORING to drive
got a fd3 great fun favourite car of all time i always wanted one and am glad to say its lived up to all expectations
it all depends where your going to be driving the only thing found a lot different is driving down bad b roads the scooby is alot easier to drive faster due to being a road going rally car

Hell noo is a supra better than a rex though... i would take a skyline gtr over a supra anyday and a rex over a skyline... and an nsx before a supra and a evo before a nsx... so where does that leave the supra lol :p

johnnywas

it\'s easy to make mental power from a supra that\'s why so meany love them.

shaunwil

But you would need 28% more power out of a supra to match a rex just taking power to weight in to account.

Would love to test drive an nsx. Seems like the purest Japanese supercar.

I wouldn\'t knock either choice, I like lot of different cars myself... I just cannot believe that 0-60 times would be the deciding factor!! :Hammer

No no no, Raz, you should always play "paper" first off, most people lead with "stone" and paper wraps stone! :Giggle

Sorry, lost track there, does that mean you like Supras or not :3Confused

Loads of supra owners love the rex but haven\'t got the balls to buy a rex due to what they have heard about the engine. Some of them settle for the supra instead of getting a rex, ie second best.
As has been said you need less power in a rex to match a supra. Johnny you really don\'t seem to like the rex do you mate?

Hi RX7

About a year ago I was in a similar quandary my decision was the RX7 a 34GTR Skyline or an NSX. In a furious attempt to drive all 3 within 48 hours to get a reasonable comparison I drove about 200 miles, anyway I decided on the RX7 because it just felt better. Within a few weeks my RX7 went pop and I found myself throwing large amounts of money at it which also resulted in new polybushes and Tein suspension.
Now the car is run in with all the work having been done on it the cars is three times better than when I first drove it.
I have not tried the Evo\'s but what I did find with the Skyline that its roadholding was so good I found myself thinking that within a few months I would have to drive it so fast to get a buzz whereas the RX7 feels so alive and comunicative regardless of speed. I would say that every potential RX7 owner should be aware of the fact that these cars can go pop but if you have the spare money look on it as a way of getting the car exactly as you want it then ownership becomes something that always puts a smile on your face.
