Im going to change my clutch soon and was just wondering if there is anything i need to know before i do it?

Is it pretty start forward or are there any hidden secrets?

There\'s a cracking thread on the advanced tech section of the 3rd gen forum on rx7club.com about dealing with the pull-type clutch. The guy posted a video, will probably save you alot of fiddling.

Cheers Millspeed,

Unfortunatley every time i download it it tells me there are Codec errors, i havent a clue what that means. I found the info i need anyway...

Did you manage to get the Air filters for the ARC unit?

MillSpeed

I did yeah, managed to get a pair of K&N filters to fit in the end. The guy you told me about said he could get them but by that time the other shop had got the K&N ones. Funnily enough, as soon as I\'d picked up the filters I noticed a Japanese tuning specialists literally just down the road, had no idea they were there! Turns out they could have got me the genuine ARC filters, one of the blokes was Japanese and they\'re always making trips over there to get stuff. Apparently they\'re approved distributers for RE-Amemiya and Panspeed.

I changed mine a few years ago and used

for a guide.

While your there, change the flywheel too. Going in to it, I thought my flywheel would be in better shape and could save some money. I really regret I didn\'t do it, Mine was in pretty poor condition.

Thanks Oliver, thats where i got it from, i keep forgetting about that site!

I don\'t need a flywheel as i have just put the rebuilt engine in about a month ago (DOH!!) the stock clutch can\'t handle the power of the conversion work so it has to be replaced!

I was hoping to get away with it for a little while as the clutch was brand new about a month before the engine went pop, but it looks like im changing the clutch the hard way!

Cheers
