Hi guys,

I have a 12A which is going through a rebuild. It\'s been stripped and is now in nice little pieces.....but there seem to be a few problems.

There are indentations/furrows where it looks like the corner seal has gouged out some of the side housing. It\'s about a half millimetre to a full millimetre deep in places. This problem seems worse on one side than the other but does exist on both sides of the engine.

Also the chrome has eroded in various places on the rotor housings.

I don\'t know enough to figure out if these are serious or what to do about them. Am I going to have to get new housings ?

The rotors themselves are fine.

I\'ll try to post some pics later.

I think you can pick up working second hand cars for a couple of hundred quid so i would think 12\'a engines are two a penny, well almost.   Tim will have some.  Those grooves sound too deep to reuse successfully.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
