Phil Blake, has kindly arranged this event, should anyone wish to attend. Clive and myself will be attending on the Saturday with our RX4

I am pleased to announce we'll be holding what will be the third NSU Ro80 & Rotary meeting here at Mill Cottage on the weekend of 6th & 7th July 2024. The meeting is open to owners of
NSU Ro80s and all other rotary engine cars & motorcycles, and of course NSU air-cooled cars and motorcycles.

When the first meeting was held here in 2017 (for the Ro80 50th anniversary) there were 34 Ro80s recorded as being taxed: that number is now close to 50! Last time along with rotary rarities such as the Mazda Cosmo Sport, JC Cosmo, Citroen Birotor and Van Veen motorcycle,
we even had a Russian KGB rotary Lada so who knows what surprises may turn up this time!

There will also be a display of rare and unusual Rotary Engines.
The schedule could be subject to some minor changes, but will be largely as follows:

Saturday 6th From 10am: Arrivals and the opportunity to admire the cars and bikes. In the
afternoon, a raffle in the barn and the opportunity to vote for your favourite vehicle/bike. Into the
evening there will be music and continued chit-chat around the fire pit and we will be providing
food. Please feel free to bring along any parts or memorabilia you may wish to sell or display.

Sunday 7th From 9.30am: Gathering of the cars and bikes at Mill Cottage before departing at
10am for a drive out into the beautiful surrounding Suffolk countryside following a pre-planned route (directions will be provided) with a brief stop mid-route. We will then culminate with lunch at a Suffolk pub (venue to be confirmed) before people head home.

Should you want to make your visit into a mini-break, there's lots to visit nearby, including Southwold, Aldeburgh and of course Framlingham Castle. We have included a list of some local B&Bs and hotels (check direct for current rates and availability), but no doubt an internet search will bring up some more. There seems to be plenty of choice on Airbnb these days so it's worth checking there also. You are also welcome to bring a tent and camp if you wish.

Please bring something to eat with you: BBQs will be available to use should you wish to cook something up. On the Saturday evening, we will be providing Chilli & Jacket Potatoes and of course Sunday lunch will be at the pub.

Please also bring a contribution to the raffle. It can be
anything you like, from car memorabilia to a bottle of wine etc.

There is no charge for this event, but prior registration prior is required. To attend, PLEASE respond stating whether you are able/unable to attend, and if you are attending please complete
and return the attached registration form. Kindly do respond. A lot of effort goes into putting on an event like this, and when the invitation is met by silence, it's not particularly appreciated!

Completed forms to be posted or scanned & emailed to the following addresses:

We are really looking forward to having you join us.
The last two events were great successes, and this one will be even bigger and better.

To get an idea of the previous events, search for NSU Ro80 Suffolk on YouTube.

There will be an update nearer the time with full details on timings and any schedule changes.

Best wishes
Phil and Ali

By pure coincidence I'll be staying near King's Lynn, Norfolk exactly that week end. Anyone passing by from the west or north on the Saturday who's willing to pick up an extra passenger? Please let me know!  :)
Hmmmmmm over braps

I attended this show in 2021 on the Saturday (topic here: https://mazdarotaryclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=85228.msg921591) and had a great time. So much to see and do, and so many Rotary enthusiasts to chat with.

I would be there this year too, but for a clash with a pre-booked holiday  :( , but can highly recommend it as a great day (or weekend) event. Phil and his wife are great hosts and put an enormous amount of time into creating this meet.
