After more than 21 years of ownership I said goodbye to my car this week. Great car that I have enjoyed owning and sad to see her go but done only a few hundred miles each year for the last 10 years or so, it has only done 33,500 miles. The car was imported brand new by Mazda dealer T W Whites and I purchased it on 24/12/1999 with less than 100 miles on the clock. I only ever had 2 serious problems with the car, alternator failure and the power steering belt disintegrated. Purchased by a petrol head who has several very tasty motors so I know it has gone to a good home. He has plans to make the car immaculate. End of an era but it is time to move on and all the best to all at MRC.

Many thanks for letting us know you have sold your wonderful car.
Thank you for you for being one of our first MRC members and the support you have given the club over the years.
Lisa and myself wish you the very best and hope you enjoy the car you want to get next.
All the best Clive

Many thanks Clive & Lisa, I will still visit here and in particular to see how your race car is going. I bought the Golf R I have leased for the last 3 years and really happy with it as our only car.

Someone has a great FD but the look and sound of it Kevin!

Sad to hear you've sold it, but 21 years is a very long period of ownership, longer than I've ever had a car (although my RX-8 is coming up for 17 years, my longest yet!).

Best wishes and enjoy the Golf R  :great:

Kevin, really surprised you have parted with the FD after all those years of ownership but i guess these decisions have to be made at some time.
I would imagine you must "Have" been the longest UK owner of an FD  It was always a pleasure see your immaculate car years back and the new owner must be really pleased, was good to meet you over the years
all the best Paul

Thanks Paul, good to meet you too over the years, hope you and family are well. Was using the car so little and it has gone to a good home, the new owner has a small collection of interesting cars.
