Yeh that's what we were thinking to do, should get them fairly close to level enough

Heres the Turbo bridge ports templates next to the turbo street port, as you can see the bridge is huge, however I'm using the street port. The

Yep, that bridge is massive

How about this then jarno.. This is a 6 second package engine proven to make 1500hp using semi pp with a turbo bridgeport something I didn't know as I thought a bridgeport had to be massive but it would appear not

Yes, thats true. Within few years, there has been some good results with street ports, even tho massive ones.

When I ported my engine, I really though things thru, back and forward. I really wanted to do extented streetport. However, at that point, I had good set of templates in loan. So I went with those.

Type of apexes was also reason for me to go with BP.

Measuring big street port is difficult. Can be done tho. Just figuring out and measuring

Now, if I would build another engine, I would do street port. Also I would port runners to port much bigger.

Its ridicilous how much smaller stock T2 ports are compared to FDs. Even tho they should be almost similar engines. All those being said, now I would build FD engine, not using FCs. But, all this is learning

Yeh, I always have problems with the photos attaching in tappatalk for some reason

Now looking at that bridge port, to me it's the same size as the semi pp, so that's roughly the same  inlet timing, albeit the side of the rotor opens and closes most of the side port and the semi pp is opened and closed via the apex seal so...

Now I would say that because of the semi pp maybe there's no benefit to having a huge bridge when you have the semi pp

Quite interesting to see this, as also looking at the exhaust port I have, they close the exhasut late, which also might be why the turbo bridge opens so late.

Possibly reducing the overlap specifically if that overlap had no benefit to hp gains etc?

It's not just mine then.....

Trying to upload pics 2 or 3 times. Modern tech is great when it works eh ?

Yeah, I agree with you. From that pic, its hard to find benefits of that BP. Maybe some few horses at top end.

But cause those BP are quite big, and with that PP, I would imagine that its hard on apexes

Yes, that exhaust closing is so late. Dunno why. But there must be overlap, closing is soooooo late

Just found a little engineering company, right across from where my mates welding is and he's taken my manifold to mill a little bit off

Didn't take much off as don't know how thick the casting is but it's enough and most importantly it's flat.

Cheers. My welder mate has been busy all this last week so hasn't had any chance to do my manifold yet unfortunately.

Need to take the chuffing engine out soon and swap the subframe. Easy job but might do the suspension bushings at the front at the same time, and I'm not looking forward to pushing in this stupid donut bushings the mx5s have.

Gotta take the rough with the smooth I guess, I've pressed some metalistic bushes once I think that where from a mk3 cortina into some tubes for my mk1 escort World Cup engine mounts. I remember cussing and stuff at the time.
You got access to a hydraulic press to make life easier ?
