Great picture  :great:

BTW, I'm aware there are some strange issues with the forum ATM. Some pages are refusing to load, the recents throws a error. Taking a look today. Looks like 99% of forum OK though. Will update a current topic in the "MRC Forum" area which covered the "recent" feature breakage last time....

Good news,

Manifold back today from zircotec following their 2 day shut down from the hot weather.

I spent years in the weld shop welding with 3 layers of clothing on, inside steel 1 metre cube boxes in the summer going home each day smelling like a ferret hutch ! Bloody millennials of today ..... anyway.

No photo of my exhaust until it's fitted, however I will show you my new t shirt that also come today !

Well the gods are definitely looking down on me recently.

The followers will know I've recently got the engine in place. So come do do the nuts up and the one starts turning on the M10 stud. Hmmm thread has gone or the metal section is spinning in the rubber.

B*****ks !! I got people coming Saturday (today) as spare pair of eyes while body goes on.

I know, I'll back the nut off and hopefully I can get it out. It's gotta come out anyway. Nope, the stud has snapped off completely

Big deal I hear you cry. The point is over the years of this build you've seen the car elevated with the block n tackle with funny looking supports etc. Well I picked up the car via the engine which was bolted to the engine mounts which was bolted to the chassis.

Sounds dodgy but I think the engine was by far heavier than anything else so seemed logical, anyway, it could have come crashing down at any point I guess. But thankfully it didn't. Phew.

Next issue. Need some more, and I NEED them Friday. eBay is all 3 day delivery. The local motor factors don't stock Ford Capri, cortina, etc engine mounts, the cars have vanished into everyone's rose tinted memories......

Ah Amazon I've got an account and they do next day delivery. No good.....

See what google brings up.... Oooo they look similar. Bearmach???? £3.40 each? Land Rover defender... ( well they must be strong and robust for a workhorse car). Great they're in stock. Oooooo click n collect. .....Caerphilly Jesus! And they close at 15.30 and I finish work at 14.45. My Passat won't allow those kinda mind blowing licence losing times....

6 miles from mr spiller! Bora da butt!!! I need a favour. Sorted!

So I'm back on track. A few people to thank.
1 the rotus gods for keeping my car suspended
2 mr spiller for going out his way during working hours to grab my bits ( easy now not what you're thinking)
3 my arms, for always being at my side
4 my legs, for always supporting me
5 last but not least, my fingers, for .... Well, I can always count on you ....
