Ahh gotcha now I’m sober,

Small aluminium caps which sit over the central hole, not in it.

Something less flamboyant, maybe just a rotor shape within the cap. Or a rotus sticker.
The lotus originally had knock on spinners to bolt the wheels on.

Was going for a look that mimics that but had a feel of those rotor shaped alloys ya see on the old mazdas.

Win some lose some lol

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

So last night had a catastrophic incident thankfully avoided.

Been working on this part now since feb. A LOT of hours have gone into it.

There’s around 40-50kgs there, a mixture of wood, polystyrene but mainly filler. Then all the grp around the outside.

Saturday I decided to brace the grp with steel tubing so when I’m making product it triangulates the structure and keeps the right shape.........

...... that was my saving grace !!!

I’m sat in the garden drinking with Emma last night to hear a massive bang from the shed. The table which the pattern is sat on gave way and collapsed.

Thankfully the car wasn’t hit, and the pattern fell vertically straight down.

The only damage was a wooden brace snapped off within won’t hurt as I’m finished with that part, and part of the mould has pre released. A screw will rectify that and repair the mould after.

If I hadn’t fitted the steel tube I’m certain it would have snapped in half

Very very lucky.
