The funniest thing is the redline buzzer.

The tone is just like an 80s quiz show when the contestant gets the question wrong. Lol

It’s more aggressive than the 8s buzzer haha

Yep, it's a really tacky sounding buzzer, after you've got used to the smooth RX-8 version!

Good to hear you've got to drive an FB Jamie. :icon_thumleft:

Did you notice the rather poor steering, given there is no rack, just a box?

Sorry Malcolm I should have worded it better. I wasn’t behind the wheel. Just out for a drive . Although I was offered. I declined because I’d feel awful if the worst happened.

The driver was (James GT)..... his white fb. I think it’s a series 3 ???? ‘85, ‘86 maybe.

Didn’t have the delight of the steering box although I’ve driven an anglia, so just as bad no doubt.

I was in the area so we were chewing the fat over doing a lightweight grp roof skin so he can delete the sunroof on his yellow one. He’s prepping it in readiness for some classic car championship.

Had my first drive out in an FB yesterday.
Pleasantly surprised with the performance. Stock 12a goes well.
Lots of quirks which just adds to the overall charm  :icon_thumright:

Power to Weight ratio  n all that.
If your liking an older Rotary, your really coming over to the dark side now  ;D ;D
All the best Clive

I’ve always preferred the old Skool look of the rotary, certainly in comparison to the renesis. Beehive oil cooler/warmer under the filter.

I thought pistons were the dark side lol

I just love FBs. My passion  for rotarys started because of FB.

Even tho that steering is, well crap, that car still is superior compared to any other produced in that era...

Even tho that little 12A might be low on power, behiviour of that engine is awesome, she just wanna rev...

Suspension and chassis of FB is unbelievable. Even with that shite steering box. You can go to corners like nutcase and survive not to mention how good that chassis is on gravel

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

So, we've mutilated the fans and shroud, to get the product off.

But my boob job is done !!!

Some more sanding and tarting up on the outside required before primer. But inside nice and smooth.

Holes to cut in it yet for the radiator air to come out, but Ill do that after.

Fitted to the spare fans Ive got, fits a treat  :13:

In case anyone was wondering, the air filter goes up the big hole in the centre so only cool air goes in that and the hot air goes outside.

Happy days.

Why have you got a picture of a pedestral drill on the wall?

A light coat of etch works wonders to the appearance.

And it wipes out a few brain cells from the voc’s

Roof vent next as the polycarbonate side windows will be fixed but I don’t want little hatches.

That will be the last farty piece before I tackle the nose cone, grille, bumper and splitter
