Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Morning Chaps,

Thanks for the kind words and wishes.

Its not all doom and gloom, Me and Emma have been through the wars the past 3 years, we lost our daughter at 17 weeks pregnant, 3 failed attempts at IVF and now this.

But we have each other and that wont change, I have my mental health issues and she has her physical ones, we help each other and thats whats important.

If the worst happens we adapt....... doesnt mean we should stop. I have a good friend who is paralyzed from the 3 vertabre down after a bad motorbike accident, that was 13 years ago, he still lays slabs, he still wheels himself to the garage, drags himself out the chair into the engine bay and works on his cars.

Dont let anything stop you!

Anyway, on a lighter note, were still making progress, the outlet ducts for the oil coolers are done and will be hopefully mounted today before i go see Emma.

Im not too concerned on the heat from these, as standard these oil coolers are fitted with rubber shrouds, and they dont melt. So im mildly happy.

Thanks guys, and despite everything, keep smiling.

Glad to see Emma smiling after all this  :)

Like others, it's hard to know what to say, other than to pass my best wishes to you both and hope Emma gets better sooner, rather than later.

Nice progress on the Rotus too  :great:

Stock fans and shroud mate as per advice from Captain.

They will have ducts also on the back of the shroud allowing the air exit through 2 holes in the bonnet

I suggest you stick her on the sofa with her favourite box to watch on tele... get her a bell to ring for when she needs something!

I'm sure she will enjoy being looked after by the grizzly nurse.

I strolled into the discharge lounge yesterday to collect her, I said, hello my little nest of vipers. Much to the disbelief of the other patients.

Grabbed her bags, and she's tottering behind at  the speed of smell. I turned around and said, will you hurry up, I was clean shaven when I arrived!

Anyway, Rotus work will be non existent this week, we're gonna be lounging about in the hot tub. Dunno what the wifi is like, or the 4G , so probably see y'all at the rendezvous point on Sunday. Fingers crossed for good weather.  :icon_thumleft:

More tubes going in.

Same diameter as the roll cage but lighweight seamed tube.

Strong enough to hang the exhaust and diffuser off, but light enough to buckle in the event of a rear ender without destroying the roll cage.

I save the cage for a "big off"

The MSA blue book mentions not letting the roll cage extend past the suspension anchorage points.

Not sure of the reason but.....yeah.

Made a start on the diffuser.

Mocking it up in steel first, cover it in filler, make a mould, and then product in GRP (nothing new there)

Gotta put a few more pie cut pieces on the tail pipe to joggle it up into the boot area to route the silencer in the "vent" section.

Carved up and remodelled the horrendous original rear bumper to meet the bodywork better and form the mounting part of the diffuser.

"Fired up" my new shrinker / stretcher for the first time since my birthday in June....... im impressed.

Its shrinking 1.5mm nicely and was only supposed to have a limit of 1.2mm on steel.

God its a warm one today !

Been messing about with the last bit of the exhaust.

Lost 10" out of the silencer as it was purchased to sit transversely in the boot with side exit. Now exiting out the vent. Its certainly lighter.

Made a exhaust "saddle" similar to what they use on go karts...... couple of springs over the top. I'll stop the bugger from moving !!!

Cant fit it properly yet, stupid diffuser in the way! Who designed it like that? ? ? ?

Diffuser buck coming on

tack bend cut repeat

ignore the crossmember, its just for support

And the vent wont be blocked off
