Well, went for a drive today. Was really crap. She wouldnt behave, maps were way off. I reckon I have air leak at down pipe, cause logging says that lambda was all over the place...

However, some good points with this test. Found a new oil leak and repaired it. Car isnt that loud. Clutch, even tho its "Stage 4", isnt that heavy. Ride is quite good, even tho car is really really low.

But I have to modify my whole exhaust. Its hitting on the tarmac all the time. It just hangs too low. Also car is way too low, and I have to raise it.

Actually, today I was cursing that cars ride hight at our WhatsAp group, so few dudes suggested thatvI should put this car on B2600 pickups chassis

Have done little jobs to Vert.

I had to raise it about 2 cm. Now belly wont hit everything.

Cooler piping modified. Much better position now.

Downpipe welded. Now it wont leak so much.

Some little leaks still.

Chinese exhaust wrapping is crap. Still burns after run

Yesterday I drove about 12 km. Car starts to feel quite good. Fuel maps are difficult and still gives me headegg. But I set fueling to closed loop, which means that basically its in adaptive mode and learns. Mades corrections to fuel map via lambda.

At this point, I dont have so much low torque that I would like to have. But not too bad, and I reckon that fuel mapping will give me more. But car is actually quite easy to cruise at below 3000rpm

Now, Im just making little changes to mapping. Engine hasnt revved over 4000rpm yet. But I can hear my turbo whistle allready. I had 0,1 bar boost

At this point, Im actually quite happy how she runs. Ofcourse there is much work to be done. But even cold start is quite good and easy already.

Now, plan is to slowly run base maps with adaptive mode. Get a good base tune for cruising. Then we will just make little changes. Lets go from there then

Yes, some good progress.

Even tho clutch is hard, it isnt that bad to cruise.

Engine has quite good low torque even tho its quite race ported.

Exhaust isnt that loud at cruising speeds

Suspension is a bit rough, but I reckon I can change that with softer springs

Only bad thing is that fuel pumps are so loud! Just behind seat, and no interior at the moment

First time I reversed it out from garage, belly hitted garage doors frame and exhaust fell off

And you cant imagine how bad our roads are

Looking good Jamo. Weather looks like its improved too so easier to work on her outside. Glad things are starting to get sorted and with that little extra ride height less likely to pull stuff off from your undercarriage

Looking good Jamo. Weather looks like its improved too so easier to work on her outside. Glad things are starting to get sorted and with that little extra ride height less likely to pull stuff off from your undercarriage

For a first time after 2 and half years, top was dropped. And it felt soooo good. Damn I love this car! Even tho I raped it... Turbo sounds so awesome when roof is down.

So, I reckon that closed loop has done its job. Engine is starting to feel ok now. Only bad thing is that when throttle is lift off, and engine goes to idle, it drop idle so low that it wants to die. I have to keep it running by just tapping throttle. I cant figure out why it does that.

Oil leaks from turbo is causing my exhaust wraps to smoke alot still. But oil leaks are fixed now.

Even now downpipe is SO HOT that I have to figure out something to that area, with exhaust wraps, cause it so near to intake manifold

So, plan today is to get some miles. Ill let closed loop to make maps to 4000-5000 area. After that, its humans job.

However, makes me think that should I raise boost now, just abit, and let closed loop play with that?

All my friends are yelling at my that I have to raise the boost and get her in dyno. Afterall this will be most powerfull Vert in Finland. But, Ill take my time. I want to make sure that she is ready
