What a... Just found topic on differense between Coupe and Vert...
-------------------------------------------------

The whole front subframe is radically stronger on the vert (in fact there are tuners in Japan that build lower subframe supports for the coupes that try and duplicate the set up).

Add in the lighter stock wheels,

Radically stronger rear side to side strut tower supports (no rear strut tower bars needed here- its built into the body).

Thicker windsheild A pillars and frame.

The built in roll bar (built into the rear top assembly- so that again the side to side rear is re-enforced weither the top is down or not).

Entire underbody frame rails are beefed up.

Floor panel vert specific

Heavy duty vert specific firewall parts

Heavy duty engine mounts

Kick panels re-enforced

Behind seats re-enforced to further prevent the body flex.

Heavy duty front stabilizer bar from the Sport/ Turbo models

Heavy duty rear stabilizer bar and bushings (vert specific)

Vert specific springs

Different than the coupe:

Front cross section (rad panel)
Front shock towers
Kick panels (including sub sections)
A pillers
Entire front suspension Sub-frame
Engine mounts.
Running boards
Lower seat back to lower B section
B pillar
B section cross bracing
Integrated roll bar (part of the top assembly, but acts a seconday build up to the B section cross bracing.
C section (as the coupe does not even have that)
Rear upper cross section
-----------------------------------------------------

Also, I found out that models 88', 89' and 91' are slightly different...

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I heard somewhere that convertibles were heavier than hard tips. I couldn’t work out why.
So I guess all the extra bracing underneath helps prevent torsional twist.
Good job you have a turbo the size of a small planet to push it along.
I think if you drive west in it you may actually slow down the rotation of the earth with that turbo lolllll

Yeah, mine weights 1380kg and thats alot. For comparison, friends LHD FD with all stock stuff on it and AC weights around 1340kg. Lightest FDs weight 1260kg, FCs I dont know for sure but I reckon they are in 1200 area...

I think I have to lose some weight, for car and me

Naah, they where very very cheap. Althought they were so cheap, they look quite good...

My friend has these too in his FC, and ride with him at our Sevens day, confirmed me that these would do the job in my car too. Even tho his FC is really low, ride was quite good.

re japi

Plan is to drop car to the ground but dont want to do some ridicilous stance. I want to keep it as cruiser...

And that gives me a little problem: What wheel alligment and setup to put?

Basic "rule" is to put 4mm pre load on springs. I might try 0+ preload so there might be some/more "initial softness" on springs.

Want to keep shocks as soft as possible, especially in back.

I would like to go with stock wheel alligment setup, but cant find it

Rallycross Lada friend and I have some ideas to modify diffs alligment and subframe, to get setup better for getting power to the ground plan is to get rear to squat in launch, but without forcing rear tyres to ridicilous camper...

I think it’s all gonna be a bit of trial and error but you need a starting point

Other corner done too... For some reason have 5mm differense in ride height...? I measured several times before putting other side. So coilover lenght should be similar in both sides...
