I might have to change fans position tho. If its on front side of rad, blades might hit rad...

Your fan may be dual purpose push and pull...( behind rad pulls air through, infront pushair through respective to position for airflow). Which means you can in v mount position lay rad virtually flat with rad fan on top pushing through. Its how ive done mine  i bought a specific push rad but some are dual.
Only issue i see is bleeding the system with your rad cap low...but you could fit an unsprung cap on your rad and use a smallee expansion vessel up higher.

We can all be guilty of overlooking the obvious sometimes.
Im glad you said "option" coz that's all it is, I cant guarantee its a solution.

You can get some real tight 180 degree silicone hoses to get those pipes routing back to the water pump if that helps.

Keep us updated on the progress Jarno  :icon_thumleft:

Made sub wire harness yesterday. This has new wirings from ecu for coils, fan, oil pressure and fuel pressure. Also 2 extra wires if needed

Very nice mate, good your monitoring fuel pressure and great 2 spare cores for updates or repairs.

Yep, electical fuel pressure monitoring was basically only option for me. One thing to make sure engine stays safe, hopefully

Yep i would the same...Ive a fuel pressure gauge in Westy...been instrumental in fault diagnosis.
With boosted rotaries being so vunerable to lean conditions defo a great idea....is that going into adaptronic ecu or a light on dash?

Ecu will cut off. Cause if something happens, driver is just too slow to react.

From the start, when I desided what ecu to use, I planned that Adaptronic will monitor all the critical stuff. Fact is that if anything happens, you just cant react fast enough. Same thing with oil and water pressure and temperatures. Damn sensors cost roughly 100â,¬ each and I have several

Ecu will have straight connect to wind band Lambda also. Intake air temperature, exhaust temperature and back pressure will be monitored too.

My plan is to keep drivers are clean and stock. Only lambda, boost and water temp has gauges. Later, my plan is to connect small Windows Tablet to ecu and mount that somewhere. This way I can have extra gauges, option to tune and datalogit from that Tab

After electics started to piss me off, started to figure out stuff under the bonnet. Obviously, because there is not enough room still, this started to piss me off So I made mounting for battery in the boot...

Jarno,

I know this may be a backward step but do you still have the stock oil cooler. The stock cooler is actually a good cooler and it will have a thermostat built in, which you need.  Some have used these to good effect on FD's.

This may help your space problem as it looks like with a relocated oil cooler you will have room to mount the intercooler and radiator?

Next option is to have long oil pipes made up and get the oil cooler out on a corner under a head lamp, failing that go for an RX-8 / FD set up and hang the two oil coolers under each head lamp.

Jarno your going to hate me for saying this, but over the years I trained two apprentices and used to drum into them "there's no such word as can't!"  you just haven't come up with the solution yet. You will get there and you will look back and know it was worth it because you made it all happen.

Yes Sir, its stock cooler. I did research and found out that this unit is quite good.

Yes, its in stock position. However I "broke" mounts to get it more vertical position.

Oil line from back of the engine is stock. But front one is new.

I have been thinking relocating oil cooler. Just dont want to do it. But I reckon I have some room for move it a bit, if those lines give me some room to play with.

You know, its redicilous how much my turbos position gives me problems. It simply is too far high and front. Also, wastegate and screamer should be at the back too

Yep, "cant be done" is something that we Finns do not know. Unfortunately, I am not patient man, and I can be frustrated easily. Also, Im way way out off my confort zone, I havent do anything like this before

Jarno, you will get there,

Your doing the best thing when you get frustrated, walk away from it  and go off and work on some other area that's a bit more "fun"

I used to tell my apprentices this, as struggling on when you are getting upset will normally result in hurting yourself or hurting what your working on!

re japi

That is true Sir. Yesterday morning, I was so frustrated that I desided not to do anything with the car. Went Ahvenisto track to see my friend practising for Historic Grand Race which is on this weekend. Spent the day repairing his Beemer cause he had problems
