A little remiss of me not to have started this topic earlier  , but it's here now 

To save time I have not (yet...) started separate topics for each of these events, instead I have provided links to the RX-8 Owners Club (RX8OC) forum where there are event topics already running. If there is enough interest in any of the the events by MRC members I will post up a "parallel" topic on the MRC forum where we can discuss, ask questions, etc. In the meantime, please use this topic if you have any queries

JAVELIN TRACKDAY DISCOUNTS: All Full Members of the MRC qualify for 7.5% discount off all Javelin Trackdays. MALLORY PARK (Leics), Friday, 10th June.. This trackday is with Javelin at £159, (£147.08 with MRC Club Member Discount). Click on THIS LINK to book a place. I'll be there, along with two other RX-8's that are booked so far. Please post up in this topic if you are interested or have any questions 

BLYTON PARK (Lincs), Saturday 17th September. This is a combined track and sprint day with Mazdaontrack, priced at £149 -but I have a discount code to reduce this to £130 for a limited period - post up in here if you are interested. Eleven MRC and RX8OC members attended this event last year and had some great fun with a Open Pit Lane track day in the morning, followed by some fiercely contested, but friendly, timed sprint runs on the same circuit in the afternoon. If you weren't there, have a look at the RX8OC topic ON THIS LINK to see what we got up to - there will be trophies up for grabs  . Details of the 2016 event are available on the RX8OC forum ON THIS LINK, but if there is enough interest on this forum I'll post up a topic here too.

SILVERSTONE GP CIRCUIT (Bucks), Sunday 20th November. This will be a Open Pitlane Track Day using the GP Circuit with Open Track at £239 (However if you buy through the RX8OC Club Shop there is a Special Price of £206.22) Price includes: Tuition,Photography and Snacks & Drinks. Details of the event can be found on the RX8OC forum OVER HERE. FIFTEEN RX8OC members have already paid up to go - it's a great price for this circuit!

BRANDS HATCH (Kent), Friday 2nd December. Full Open Pit Lane day at a great price of £120, Mazda on Track Booking, CLICK LINK HERE. THIS IS AN EARLY BIRD BOOKING PRICE - THE PRICE WILL RISE VERY SOON. It's a long way off yet, but this will sell out well in advance, especially as the number of cars will be restricted to 60 to improve the experience. This has been a firm favourite in the trackday calendar for many years now. It's always a great outing and social event for club members. 10 MRC/RX8OC members have booked already booked places

Shucks, I would love to come to the Mallory Park event, (its been a long time since we were there). But have provisional request to go back to China around that time !!!

Shame you can't make it Chris, I remember now that you were one of the merry band of seven (I think) who went along on that atrociously wet day in August. In fact, that was the first time I went out in your car (I remember it well)!

Although it looks as though this event is unlikely to sell out, so if your China trip doesn't come off, then you might be able to go last minute, if you work schedule permits    hoping for better weather

TUNER FEST (South), BRANDS HATCH (Kent), Sunday, 19th June. This event is centred around the highly popular "Time Attack" Series being run on the track that day. But the RX-8 Owners Club will have a stand at the associated trackside show (20+ members have already paid up to attend). The RX8OC have warmly invited the MRC to join them on their stand at a discounted price of just £10 (yes £10!). Not only that, but the RX8OC have organised a session on track with places available for just £25. You'll have to be quick to order your Stand place and/or Track Session place as this is only two weeks away and the tickets will have to be posted out to attendees.

Just another little incentive to come along to Tuner Fest at Brands Hatch (see above) as Peter Hewson is due to be competing in the Time Attack event in his RX-8. He is currently LEADING the Clubman Time Attack class after the first two rounds  Come along to cheer Pete on and have a chat to him too.
