I'm doing a full fd 13b engine and turbo rebuild and was wondering if there's a particular vacuum hose set that people recommend?
The only one I have been contemplating so far is a silicone kit from HPSI on eBay in the states which after postage and import tax will effectively double the cost to around £200. If there's a similar quality kit available in the UK could anyone advise which? Does everyone  only use silicone or are any viton kits recommended? Thanks

I wouldn't buy a kit, instead save yourself quite a bit of money and buy good quality silicon vac tube.

Have a read at http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/hoses.htm and http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/vachose/vacjob.html for much more info.

Personally I stick to fuel/oil resistant rubber hose as the danger of using other silicon hose is that it can fall off unless small cable ties are used.

Also oil can make the inside of silicon gooey, if you want a silicon style hose you need Viton hose

All the best Clive

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at the kits as I understand that some different diameter hoses are required. If I just buy a long length of viton hose is there a list of what lengths of what diameters I would need for a stock twins setup?

I think the 2nd link has a list of hose sizes.
