Gutted for you Jon. Never nice when you get ripped off.

Single might be the way to go, but remember there's still a lot of 'faf' before you have a driveable FD. Think, Fueling upgrade, exhaust/manifold upgrade, mapping etc etc.

Hope you find a quick solution that gets you to Silverstone.

Cheers mate...i had to move it to shut garage door so got a vid... gonna see if i can square the flanges on the pair i took off.

Good idea mate, a rough file will sort it, it's iron so I lubes itself up

Ive been relieved off garden duties...angle grinding flanges atmo. Near there.

This reminds me of the time i put a t28 on silvia s12...had to get the angle grinder out for that...
Grant on these old 1s. Wastegate is every so slightly op at rest . Closed up on the tie rod?

Erm??? Not sure. A wg should normally be fully closed until boost threshold has been reached and then opens. But I think there's a booed off thingy flapper in there for the sequential set up.

yes mate due to the crack and general moltenness slight air gap wastgate rattles in closed position think i should put a turn on and close up.

im happy its pretty flat, gaskets should seal up rest!

flat. measured with side of steel rule...using paper slidy under test!.

got a vid uploading...then its whip em off....mrs dont need me in garden...shes taking a tree out!

Yeh turn it a bit and close it. Just do like you did before and drive it afterwards and check it boost and dumping properly

cheers mate. just got my beak in the manual...its not the main wastgate but pre spool or summit...forgot what i read up...the other 1s where closed and in very good condition. ill close up. Im goona make a start today...its not raining...

well matey on ebay has not got back to me so opened a dispute. I cranked 5 times with fuel pump disabled for 5 secs each so plenty of oil in them b4 starting. shame becuase aprt from smoke all good.
