OK, progress on the pesky caliper - 3 hours ofattacking with wire wheels, various Dremel tools and very fine Wet and dry for the bore and piston. Then a few coats of ali VHT paint and she's ready for the new seals I fortuitously ordered from RockAuto when getting the clutch kit. A large tub of brake grease and fresh fluid standing by...

Bad news is, I have other commitments for the next 10 days and can't do anything more until then.

Long delay whilst a custom windscreen was being manufactured. This was fitted last week and, together with some rattle can resprayed trim surrounds, has really lifted the appearance of the car. She needs a good clean and wax, but not bad considering she's been sitting under a car cover for a few months. The plan is to put her into my double garage (alongside KIMI 1) for the winter, meaning my RX-8 is going to have to sit outside  ;)

Ian and I gave her a test run on a private road on Sunday and we've concluded she is in good enough shape to submit for an MOT. So, tomorrow I plan to sort out some insurance and book her in asap. Fingers crossed everyone!

No, standard S2 wheels on Kimi 1, same as on KIMI 2.

I managed to find one set. I think they are in decent condition, from pictures anyway...
Also, that same dude has some other FB stuff on sale, maybe we should ship a pallet full of FB parts to UK...?
