Afternoon All,

Just a quickie; Was looking online about the possibility of just removing the hard part of the roof section and leaving the rest eg. targa-style. Seems as though in the States this does happen although even finding any photo\'s is pretty hard! Does anyone know whether this is possibly over here? I had a look at mine but looks as though its the whole roof or nothing......
I have straps in the boot but I imagine these are just luggage ones.

Cheers,

Mark

I think that\'s the best why to use the roof. Most roofs tear beside the door because of all the weight on the soft top.

I remove the hard part, place it on the back shelf, then just the motor to lower the rest of the roof

I tried long and hard to understand that part of the mechanism - as the 2 sections do come apart - apparently you have to remove the hard part at that point when the roof pauses the first time - so it\'s up at a slight angle.  There is a lever on one side - can\'t remember which - that you need to operate to disengage the hard section.  A small screw pin stops the lever from operating when the roof is in either the fully up or fully down position.

When I disassembled the roof to store it I just unscrewed the pin.

Thanks for the helpful hints, if the weather isn\'t too shabby over the weekend I\'ll try and have a look. I have the usual small tears each side of the roof, so this method might hold those back for a bit longer!
