Hi all,

Its been a long time since I\'ve graced this site, and unfortunately an equally long time since I\'ve been able to run or do any work on my \'92 FD. I\'ll explain myself a little beforehand as to why I\'ve ended up in this situation.

*Feel free to skip the next paragraph if you just want to know what I\'m here for*

When I first got hold of the RX I used to have a large garage which I rented from a friend, this garage had what felt like an infinite amount of space in which to work so I could happily break her down into her component parts if needs be. Unfortunately a few years ago, due to financial problems, my friend had to move elsewhere so I lost my garage. After a while of taking up space on peoples drives I managed to get hold of a lock up. When I say lock up I genuinely mean lock up too, I almost have to get out of the car outside then push it inside! Making any work at all impossible to carry out. This worked OK...until inevitably problems started cropping up. I can go into it a bit more, if I haven\'t already raised a thread with the symptoms, but basically she\'s been running very rough. Flooding pretty much every time the engine is turned off and subsequent backfiring when/if I eventually get her started. I think, from what I\'ve read before, it\'s time for the Apexi Power FC. It\'s also been mentioned by, all be it V8, drivers that it could be sticking injectors.. Anyway.. I couldn\'t afford to send her away to get fixed as I have been saving for my own place, which *fingers crossed* I should be moving into in a couple of months. This has a nice big garage again so I can finally start working!

Due to this, my RX7 has been sat in said lock up for over a year (maybe more). I\'ve kept the tyres as fresh as I can, inflated and rolling and disconnected the battery. My only worry is she\'s had 1/4 tank of fuel sat there all this time. People have told me it should be fine to top up as long as I throw some Reddex or similar in there too. Obviously I know how fickle these cars can be so I thought I\'d seek some help from the best source of information out there, you guys!

Any help at all would be fantastic and I\'m looking forward to getting back in the swing of things! It\'s been a long time and I have forgotten a lot of rotary knowledge! Ask as many questions as you need to and I\'ll give you all the information I can!

Cheers,

 Matt
