Nice :) That thing seems to be quite fast too :D Any idea 0-60? :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

It\'s got to be doing 0-60 in the low 4 second range. Probably weighs less than half what an RX8 does and has the same power and torque. I\'ve often thought the Renesis would make an awesome kit car motor and the ones I have seen with it in don\'t disappoint!

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Look okay, ready for national championship next year?

Its the quickest thing ive driven on track 3rd gear high revs it grips and launches you forward. 4th with the synchro issue costs a bit of time but once in 4th again in gear punch is awesome.
1 st and 2nd really got to careful. Didnt really want to launch off the line and risk the axle and 2nd just lights up....The vids are disappointing as you cant really hear whats going on. but rear wheels where lighting up and gear change into 4th sounded dreadful.

I found front end grip to be perfect not a hint of understeer. Its exiting the cornering and getting the power down smooth so you dont break traction and have to dial in opposite lock that then sends you wide. I\'m not a fan of keevil circuit tbh its not very flowing so lots of stamp on brakes and 2nd gear big turns feeding the power in. Combe is a lot more flowing and faster which should suit the car more...

Later on in day it really clicked and got all the gear changes sorted....i stopped trying to be quick in the 2nd gear corners and that made it quicker into the flowing corners as i was on the right line.

There is 1 at combe next saturday so may go up for an hour in the afternoon depending on the weather.

Putting this engine in a kitcar makes perfect sense . The money i paid for it was very reasonable...would have got me a pinto powered 1for similar.

I did speak to some lotus 7 esques.....or rather they came and spoke to me after id blown them all away and explained the virtues of rotary power. versus cost. equals very good power for pound.

I\'m over 50, still doing the hillclimb/sprint championship on a single seater.
once you into national, got hook and bet you never go back to funday.

National\'s different level once you are into it.

Castle Combe Special Gt\'s Class D for next year....its my local circuit and have been track daying for years there. Lots of different marques and some very fast machinery. The big boys are Radicals, Darians etc.

Under no illusions will be at the back but a good starting point.

Thanks mate, and more good news is that i went out to garage today and checked all fluids and all good , fired her up and she started straight away plus i still had a fair bit of fuel, brakes and tyres left so looks like its very conservative on consumables as well.
Booking the next Keevil on December 7th for some more seat time on this set up the van and trailer should be in place then. Will take a chance on weather:3Confused

Think the jobs i\'m going todo next is strip down the spare engine and get it to Carl.

And start tidying up the wiring.

All this is being done on a modest sum i\'m quite happy to disclose costs if anybody interested as a track car goes sticking a rotary engine in kitcar makes so much sense.
And thankyou all for your kind words.:Thumbsup!

Of course were interested in how much it costs. Spill the beans. I rekon maybe cheaper than building a track FD or rx8
