Btw Grant, are you coming to Japfest? I would like to meet you have talk, "fase to fase" :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Dont blame iphone, thats just as intented :)).  Carl showed me a monster port. It was a big ass jport. To me, its interesting and i  osume it could be done more relyable than normal huge bridge. I fear the thin bridge when charged allthought its not current to me and bigboys do use it around the world. Jport is something I would like to  try some day on my fd.

Im really really considering this ...750MC sports specials...for 2016...all the classic circuits! Grant you got a local rolling road near you? Power runs best of 3 should be 30 to 40 pound!  You book a run ill pay!!! i need to know in black and white flywheel power of our Bridge port rennys! yours makes more power than mine atmo!

Yes I do. It's at AET turbos. Need to get my arse there. I will give them a ring 2moro actually. 3 power runs should see the highest recorded on the third run with the traction control and ABS fuses pulled from what I have learnt.

Yes I believe when porting a monster port you leave more material on the actual bridge to better support the side seals and actually hold in the corner of the apex seal so you can still use a two piece seal;-) although a one piece seal will work fine it may just struggle to start at times.

I think I would want a monster port rather than a pp as its a bit sneaky and doesn't require custom everything

If you could mate it would be much appreciated! Definitive power figure finally! I should have done....my car combe time versus the formula im looking at would have been placed 7th on grid...of about 27 cars so im right in the mix...i need to get the power to weight bang on.
If you can find the cost out and let me know! Lets get this power figure once and for all!

Carl told me dunking the rx8 always gave low results but not the way I have found out hopefully

Couple of rx8s run in the 750 mc in another formula and theyve ran at 210 bhp....no idea of tune or port work.

210?! That's good. I will ring them 2moro I promise

Grant Monkhouse

What hp do you need to meet the requirement? I can't work it out without writing it down

I need to wiegh the car again. It was 596kg but now extra oil cooler. Plus ive got to weigh my self with hans helmet etc....im thinking fron online calcs at 230bhp. I cant shed any weight as near to 340bhp per tonne as poss. Im circa 78kg.

Just did this calculation based on a car weighing 680 including driver

Grant Monkhouse

So you need 230fwhp to be at the front end of the pecking order

boosted

Yeah im on the limit....need to know bhp....i can add weight easily just cant lose any....im 77.6kg...plus lid and hans etc...
