If it doesn\'t work out would it worth talking to the guy thats doing the Fiat 600 project and find out who did the chassis work.

Really bad if the chassis isn\'t right coming out of the factory, is it adjustable to be right or is it just a really bad engineering comapny that fabricates it ?

On a brand new chassis from front suspension bracket to rear there was 3.5mm difference...there must be a tolerance and this can be adjusted out with track control arms etc.
 My car at present has a 15mm difference left to right wheel base!!!  Guy explained that 2 to 3mm out at chassis suspension is more like 10 to 15 at centre of wheel! I just hope he can work his majic. As long as its square should go straight!

Right got it back...long boring day on the motorway.

Front end bent left and right top and bottom rails a bit like someone with a crooked nose. So nothing to push / pull against so cutting out and welding in new last option.

if you talk to Westfield maybe they have the jig still and can build a front end for that chassis if it is cut off and replaced?
Might just worth an ask....

Chap coming sat and a unfinished project on ebay with independent rear suspension.

Many years ago I shovelled the remains of my brother\'s FF Dulon into boxes and dumped the large lumps on the trailer.  We didn\'t care much - he was in Northampton General with a broken neck.

Not only did the brother make a full recovery but the Dulon wreckage went off to a temporarily carless friend.  He found another and measured it, went home, identified the undamaged tubes - straightened others and then cut out and replaced the worst ones with \'bulkheads\' bolted to an iron frame made from a Victorian bedstead. Proper engineering!  

The following year he won the BRSCC pre74 FF championship in that car.

Cut both top rails out and replace see if bottom rails will pull back. triangulation to stiffen. fingers crossed. sparks are gonna fly!

Dead easy Jon, click on "modify" on the post a couple of threads up, where I've corrected your post so it works. You were nearly there
