Right up date, no fuel pressure! And lifting out pump assembly syphon tube caught and i pulled slightly harder and the hose tail just snapped off.


can someone confirm i have syphon tube right? it was not attached when i changed it. Pump runs just not priming up.

Does the bowl need to be submersed in fuel in order for the syphon to work as there is only 7 litres of fuel in there?

Ive super glued the hose tail and will get more fuel but i need a new fuel pump assembly....so close ready to crank lol.

There will only be 1 result its just the pain on the way. ha ha  hardly touched the hose tail just a slight tug to unseat!


any help as always greatly appreciated its the confirmation of assembly pipework as originally was not fitted so have not photos to review.:Thumbsup!

Got it...just shut down...following Hayward Rotarys start up guidelines. That fuel prob tested me somewhat. Ran her for 10 mins no revs. Learnt idle..shes quiet!..little blip of throttle and sweet at end. Exhaust no longer fits so just hangin on at mo. PHEW IM CHUFFED TO BITS.

on the video now ....need a fuel pump assembly. drill a hole in the top ran some hose down and bypassed broke hose tail. Ran her upto 90 degC fan did not cut in so have to investigate that but shes having a cool down b4 check of levels...cant go for a drive til i get some indicators and bodywork on the front and sort the silencer out. But it runs!

Very good. Well done mate. Is the ecu holding the revs so high? Side exhaust ports reduce the noise so much:)

Yes mate that was literally 30 secs after firing first time...lovelly now on tick over fired again once cooled instantly and drove round estate to check driveline for 2 mins. Still lots todo but milestone today. Im hangin tbh! Gotta check my fan let it idle til upto 90 and no sign of it cutting in so first job tomoz.
Chuffed to bits though!
