And is it really that stock ECU will understand it if you modify and port Renesis? And it will make adjustments?

1. ECU Or pcm (power control module)as is called on the renesis is a very smart ecu and will self tune to modifications.

2. The Renesis has variable intake ports control by motors on the inlet manifold . These direct air to the side ports for variable power throughout the rev range. The tertiary port is 1 of those. No porting on exhaust. Thats my basic knowledge of it as explained to me. when i get 5 mins ill read up.

It the same setup i believe as Carls rx8 demo.

Really? Thats interesting. Does ECU understand if it has big porting and bigger injectors done? Hmm... (thinking, thinking, thinking... )

I know basics of Renesis but I dont understand how they are "extended"...  :Hammer

Extended primary intake ports. Ecu learns but doubt injectors ...honest answer dont know!
Hence why left the wizardary bit to Carl and the guys!

The Renesis ECU will adjust to different airflow to an extent but it can also be flash-tuned by software like MazdaEdit so you can adjust target AFRs, re-scale the MAF, fiddle with the dwell on the coils and remove CELs and such like.  You can also do what Clive has done and run it with an Adaptronic ECU, which takes care of most of the running of the car but leaves the stock ECU in place so you retain DSC and the ability to control the A/C etc.  The Adaptronic is the better solution for forced induction set-ups as it has a MAP sensor for better boost tuning or some such.

progressing well.

Power connections redone.
Linked all my earth connections.
Digi dash sensors all connected up.
Clutch master put back on.
Started to put infill panels back on...bit of a mare as had to bend them to get them out.

car is filthy, had some fun getting this in thought id have lunch before contorting myself to get the rivets in.

Will all be degreased and swarf removed.
Will seal all crevices with tigerseal to keep water out( although it will come in from top) and fresh lick of paint.

Been trying to find that stuff that they stuck on skateboards for grip as want my heels to purchase on it as will get slippery when wet.
