Good day....engine stripped bare....scrutineer came round and car all good. Few little jobs todo on car regarding regs.

Stripped the spare low comp engine down today, careful to mark everything and have a good learning session. Still need to get the flywheel off got a 54mm socket on order!

Scrutineer came round and checked the car over few little jobs on the car itself no biggies apart....... i need a novice cross on the back! He told me not to worry about the regs a co-eff of 1.7 will be applied but deffo car is eligible so full speed ahead.

Classes are still being drafted so not sure which class i will be in.

No progress this weekend, No trackday Saturday.....Got manflu real bad! Was hoping to wake up today and the angry wasps in my throat would have done 1 and i could go out to garage but alas no feel still feel like s&*t. So another day of Beechams and loitering on here.

No more seat time this year so will have to go with the 1 track day and start taking it all apart!.
On 6-2 this week so hopefully can catch up.
1. Engine to Carl...( once again apologies for let down)!
2. Tidy Garage.
3. Move car to middle of garage and take all panels/ wheels off.
4. Move engine back 100-150mm biggie but has to be done.
5. Associated mods prop shorten exhaust, engine mounts and gearbox brace.
6. Engine box out,
7. Tidy / shorten wiring
8. New dash panel with instruments more driver orientated.
9. Paint cage black, paint or wrap panels.
7. New engine build up and install / box in ! mods for ancillaries to fit ie rad hoses etc .

If i didnt want to move engine back there is not a lot todo only tidying and making it mine with fresh paint but it has to move the car is nose heavy and the link is awful. I.ve led on my back under car and the box should fit into the tunnel with a shorten of passenger footwell to accommodate starter motor and a gearbox shave on drivers side.

Now the real work starts Monday! ...Bought, not built Rebuild.

:reallymadNo tinkering today unfortunately cant seem to shake this flu bug lurgy thing....I gave it to the misses and seemed to get better but seem to have regressed to generally feeling like pooh. Just no energy and achy...plus soar throat is back.....gonna paint a black cross on our front door!
Night shift tomoz so waste of weekend! Whinge over ! On a positive note i help the neighbour with his RX8 hes not very mechanical and thought his poor starting engine was a big issue! a new battery solved that and recalibrate of dsc happy bunny. I\'ll tell him he needs coils after xmas:Giggle Taught him the 4k shutdown as well....that wiped me out so had an afternoon nap! :Yawn

Finally some progress .....lurgy free......full clean up of garage and wash of car as still dirty from track day...went round the block always good warm up and motivation! car on ramps and prop out....

It\'s only going to get messy. Strip the car first then sort stuff out. Made some progress myself last night. Got my manifold off with my welder buddy so that be done soone, then I can do the down pipe and finish the intake pipes.

Getting motivated from you so keep the up dates coming, as it\'s helping my car progress. Loads of pictures too. Helps piece the jigsaw back together.

Strip the car first then sort stuff out:Thumbs-up......Best advice so far, Been juggling gear stick in 1 hand carbon wrap in other.....going arrrghhh look at wiring.....new cycle wing are just too narrow.....LOL:Hammer all good fun take it all apart first and do the jobs your up for on the day!;)
. Garage is tidy now .....bikes and spare wheels are in the spare room. Misses is gonna go ape!:rollin fed up tripping over stuff. and continually moving it back and forth! Should be able to grab a few hours each day due to night shift and then saturday and get back on track!
Engine hoist is arriving friday! Hopefully box and engine out saturday .
PLUS i emptied the dishwasher as learnt that lesson !:god
