Fan relay

Bit of a strange  one, i bought my FD near standard and single turbo\'d it, but ive noticed that my fan relay on / off goes to a single pin temp sensor next to my water level sensor and splices to a  black with red chaser wire thats in my ecu loom, looking at water housings on ebay and non of them have this sensor installed, it would seem it has been tapped and installed, my problem being that this sensor is damaged....... Does anyone have any idea what kind of sensor i need as my fans are dead atm
