On the FC, I don\'t like the way the head lights pop up when the side lights and ignition are both on.

How can I stop this from happening without affecting the normal headlamp operation?

Is it possible?

Cheers,
Sean:)

i dont think you can

some on the earlier models ( 86 ) had this feature as standard

im not sure if it was to do with UK law or now

you would need to read the wiring digram really well and look at cutting a wire to the head light - read as - DONT DO IT !!

good luck though - i like the idea of side lights with the main lights in the down position

Dont do it!  I know what your getting at, but unless you use a different relay all you will end up doing is stopping the lamps from popping up when you turn on the side lights.
I know what thinking; \'Thats what I want to do though!\'

 The problem is this:-

Even on side light setting there is a LOT of heat generated by those lamps and the front of the FC\'s (eg lil\' window and front bumper) are plastic filled with foam.....can you smell burning?

Just thought I\'d better warn you!  You may however be able to fond away to keep the lamps off altogether and just use the front side lights, but again this WILL involve cutting holes in your loom, and that is never good. (Previous owner of my Egi tried to fix something, result no central locking and i cant be arsed to sort it).
