Hiya!

Was just catching up on some reading on the forum when I came accross Alexb\'s post about his boost problem. Had a look at this photo:

Now this struck me as odd. I had mine out when I was looking for splits and so on and I can find a valve like that leading from the black box. Just been out and took some photos:

Right I got two going out of mine:

The upper one (the one pressed right in the box leads down below without any valve to connect straight down like so:

The other one, although slightly hidden from what I can see just again without any value right to the airpump which looks rather squashed as shown here:

So my question is.. is there meant to be a check valve etc in there somewhere as shown in Alexb\'s post? as I havn\'t got one? Mines set up *excuse the crudeness* as:

is this correct or am I missing stuff? thanks in advance!

The pressure tank is fed from a nipple on the Y-Pipe from the turbos. There should be a one way check valve in line which keeps the pressure in the tank.
The other hose goes from the Pressure tank into the Rats Nest. There it splits and feeds all the other solenoids that require pressure when the engine is in vacum.
Mines Black and dirtier than Donatos. But hey, no-one asked for a good clean fight.

cheers bobster,

So should there be a one underneath the pressure tank on the 2nd (non rats nest) hose? still a bit confused as I\'m sure there isn\'t one on mine?

I pulled that 2nd hose just to see where it went and that last photo / the connector is where it was connected to?

i.e. should it be like this: with the green square being a valve?

No there is just the one Valve between the Y-Pipe and the tank. The other just goes direct into the rats nest. You can see where the 2 hoses conect in the diagram.
The pressure chamber has nothing to do with the AirPump itself. It\'s just that it is connected to the Y-Pipe behind the airpump.
