Fd3s-
Have noticed that when car is running selecting gear is a mission lots of strength required. However when switched off no issues moving into gears.
Have search and couldn\'t find any threads however I have read the following suggestion;

Replace gear box oil
Replace shift collar and check shifter re grease
Adjust pedal
Bleed slave cylinder

As I am probably going to dedicate to troubleshooting are there any other suggestion or recommendations.

Thanks all!

I had this exact problem after I replaced all of my brake fluid.
The clutch would be fine when I started the car from cold but after a few miles and it getting up to temperature I would struggle to get gears. I re-bled the clutch and it had been fine since. That was many miles and months ago.

In having the same problem but selecting 2nd? When i ease it in it will go in smooth, but if i try to change abit quiker it will catch/crunch? Every other gear is fine..syncro?

Yep most likely synchro. You can get hold of a new gear box for ~£150 rather than having it rebuilt for 400+!!
