Hey peeps... trying to sort my S4 vert for MOT.  Went and worked on the car today, removed the :censored::censored::censored::censored:ey non functioning POS alarm and now I that it is running I\'m having an indicator problem.

When indicating left/right or using hazzards... the little green arrow lights come on, as do the indicators but they are on constantly and do not flash.

Whilst the car is idling / driving (i.e. engine running) there is a black box next to the accelerator pedal that clicks erratically and as it does it causes the little warning lights (in the dash next to the digital clock) to flicker on and off.

On the box it says flasher relay and has the buzzer built in.  Has this part died, can anyone help?

How did you remove the alarm? I managed to immobalise my car by removing the OEM system lol sounds like the car alarm is going off but no siren attached?

It was a non standard alarm, some aftermarket turd (claims to be clifford but was installed horrifically so doubt it)

I removed the alarm by the old school method of removing all the plastics so you have a clear view of all the wires, removing A FULL TESCOS BAG of cabling, boxes, 4 relays (definitely all to do with the alarm - I have no idea what any of it did) then just making sure all the corresponding original wires were correctly soldered back up... which would be better than the twisted and taped mess what was in there.

Regardless of that it is all as close to factory as it can be and the alarm was only spliced into the flasher wires.
The problem is that the power in constant instead of intermittent, hence the lights being on  constantly when using the indicators :)
