Not sure what is happening with the youtube previews, they were working last night and now they have gone.

Maybe the mods and look at why the youtube previews have stopped working?

All seem to be working fine for me Philip, at least on Chrome browser  :icon_thumleft:

Really great videos too - very much enjoyed watching them. That vantage point for the "outside car" view gave good angle on a lot of the track
:13:

The closing speed of those Radicals (and the Caterhams to) was just ludricrous! Clive had no chance of a higher position with those in the same race  ???

Bit worried about Clive's car getting smokier as the race progressed, but some lovely flames too.

Yes we were all a bit puzzled by this but  it turns out that the oil level was a little high and it did not use any oil at all in the second race.

However, it is running very rich and made my eyes water at on stage,  so I wonder if some of the smoke is actually due to over fuelling.

We will find out as the car is now booked in at Pips for Saturday morning and have Carl coming along as well, so between us all we should see a little more low down power appear  ;)

As Pip says, we had a very conservative map but we can now play a little now we have some reliability.

I was gonna say fuel Clive...when she flamed they where massive and the smoke looked like it was coming out on gearchanges as well not just overrun......looked like alot of fun too.

Found my missing 60 bhp   :wee_hee:

After believing the car had no go, it was a  good constructive session yesterday with Pip mapping plus Carl in attendance so they could both work together to iron out any issues.

Not only did the car have way way to much fuel going in but also the boost was peaking then bleeding like mad.

I had the car run up to find out exactly what it was doing first and not only did the car have way way to much fuel going in but also the boost was peaking then bleeding.

This was giving me a rev band only between 5200 and 6400 and after that the car was just revving out to 8000 going nowhere and slower  :(.

Literally you got to 6400 and the power just fell off a cliff! Wont know fully till the car goes out on track again but both Pip and Carl believe that because of the waste-gate mods they did to hold boost through through the rev range it should feel like a 100bhp improvement over what I had.

Staggering the difference in sound on each run as more and more fuel was coming out the car and wow, it sounds so much better now  :D

Pip now wants me to revert back to fitting a solenoid so I can plumb the waste-gate back into the Adaptronic ECU as he will be able to refine the map even better.

Going to swap the diff out again from the 4.3 to the 4.4 as this will move the gears closer together to keep it on boost better.

Going to see if I can enter a sprint at Goodwood at the end of the month and then its of to Silverstone to give it a run on the International circuit for the Track Attack Autumn trophy on the 15th of October.

Lastly here's an interest video that my friend Philip put together to try and show me the smoke at Brands, you will see its on the gear changes and not surge  in the corners ;)   With amount of fuel taken out I should  now have a non-smoking racer  8)

It will have improved your mpg too then

Great stuff, having a 1200rpm power range isn't exactly good. 5200 to 8000 is definately much better. Did you gains any more torques?
