Correct :chat the lure was that all that nice yellow enamel paint was supplied to me for free via head office at the time :cool, plus I like the color :Thumbs-up.

Seriously, I used to work for Blue Circle Cement and the lorries were all Yellow, apparently chosen because yellow is the most visable from a distance

The company supported my exploits by allowing me to build my cars and run them from their workshops using all the equipment within them and whilst they gave me no financial assistance this was of huge support and they used to follow my progress through their works magazine that went all over the world.

Grant\'s right in that I had a yellow FD as well :Thumbsup!

It\'s getting there (slowly) but we now have the radiator fitted and I now know where all the pipe work fits, just got to get the header tank made.

The intercooler bolted in which means we can think about finishing the exhaust manifold and mounting the turbo plus my Racing Beat oil lines are installed.

This week I should see my side mount alternator bracket arrive in from Mazdatrix so I can get my tiny alternator fitted up.

Also the car should look very differnt shortly as the sticker set for the car should be here soon now we have decided what\'s going where

Also the tow bar is now on the Tribute so I can hopefully drag the trailer home tomorrow I\'m off to look at buying.

Sorry about the poor pictures off the phone, I\'ll try and remember the camera next time

Clive...  Just read the thread from beginning.  Like the whole thing.  Keep it affordable, understressed, 400 hp, and light weight.  Btw, several guys I know tried the Rx8 tranny in their FD\'s and did not have a good experience.

Thanks for the input G,

I am treating the gear box as "expendable" however over here a few have used these for Drag racing and found they have lived better than an FD box, so we shall see.

By the end of next week I will have some updates on progress with pictures.

Car is sitting in Team Hard\'s workshops ATM waiting for the chassis to be set up and will be helping to develop the suspension once it\'s out racing

Team Hard run the BTCC  cars pictured below along with many other race cars.

Once it comes out it\'s off to get the manifolds  and fuel system finished, then we will be really getting there :Thumbsup!
