Hello guys need a little advise here. I am a mechanic for a race team and have recently brought my first fd. it has an engine problem with i will rebuild myself but I am wanting to replace the exhaust system on the car too. it has a racing beat cat back exhaust on it which is fairly quiet. I am looking at making a full system for it what size pipe is best to use? its only a weekend car and maybe a drift project so looking for lots of noise and flames if you like. the car has knightsport twins apex filter and has apex fc comander running about 300 330 bhp so I am told. so just need help on exhause size 3" or bigger? also want to loose as much back pressure as possible.

3" all the way from downpipe, ideally with an uprated downpipe too, FEED, RE-A, HKS  etc etc... :)

i was thinking that or bigger would there a advantage or disadvantage to this?

the \'search\' button is your friend! Plenty of posts and threads discussing this over the years but if you CBA, 3" all the way for a modded twin tub setup is just fine :)

Racing Beat are a very good system though one of the quieter ones, you might get someone who would want to swap for something louder in the for sale section.
Is it twin or single exit?

I used to put 270BHP down a 1.9" system on my kit car. Upping the size to 2.5" didn\'t improve the power but the system stopped bluing from primaries to the tip!

On my RX7 I have twin 2.5" to 3" to a 4" exit and that\'s more than adequate for the 400/400 I\'m putting through it.

So with the turbo setup I\'d stick to the 3" as recommended previously
