Anyone know the difference in the ECUs, except JDM missing check engine light?

Mine is fried, and I got a EUDM or USDM TII ready to ship, but the seller (who is acknowledged in norway as a rotary guru) says I will get problems with idle, it will be rough, and I might get other problems too.

As the FSM says, or doesnt say, but obviously means, the connectors are the same, everything is the same, else it would state otherwise, I guess?

Might be due to the US having lower octane fuel, its a bit like anyone in the UK running a OEM Jap ECU due to them having 100RON fuel and we don\'t, I think its a case of the ECU being mapped for the most common fuel in the market where the car was sold

Mr Mitch is right, i remember looking into it and it was due to the fuel octanes. Don\'t the yanks run on \'gasoline\' which is slightly different to european pump fuel?

What are they running then? 91 Octane? We run 95 at the lowest here, which is obtainable in the US, so it should work, in theory?

UK / JAP ECU\'s are basically interchangeable, the US ECU\'s have a couple of different options, but besides that, most of the differences are in what\'s plugged into the ECU (by way of air con, driving lights (canada) and so on.

I\'ve run a chipped JAP ecu in my UK Vert for ages with no ill effects.

Okay, so my question changes.

Anyone got a TII ECU lying around? JDM, UK, EU, US, whatever floats my boat, I will pay for. I can get an ECU from the US for 134 dollars shipped, but if anyone can underbid that, Im all in, as long as you ship as fast as your car goes!
