Check Fduk! Andy G is selling his fd\'s seats. They are fully re-trimed and I am sure you would like them.

I gave up trying to decent leather fd front seats, but managed to find a mint set of 2006 mx5 seats, that are similiar in style and shape, and only needed simple brackets made up to fit the fd runners. Can throw up pics if you want lad, and only cost me 100 notes.

Hi

Many thanks for that, it might be an option...

Can I see the shots?  Are they heavier then the RX7 seats or the same?

They are very similiar in weight. I was surprised how light they were, as I did also try a pair of e30 325i sport recaros, and they were considerably heavier, and to be honest, looked lovely, but didn\'t really suit being in the rx. The mx5 seats definely not as heavily bolstered, but do suit the rx better. To be honest, I was only going to keep them in, until I got set of evo4 or evo5 seats, but the mx seats have really grown on me. Look uprated, but in a nice original sort of way, but only my opinion. Ill get couple of pics next couple of days.

Sorry, not the best pic. But yes, they are all leather. Match the leather back seat very well, and look nicely original, so Im well pleased for all they cost me. £100 for the seats, £5 for the 4mm steel, and £10 to plasma cut the 4 wee brackets, and a quick brush of trustan that turned the steel dull black, and rust proofed in one, so you wouldn\'t know the brackets were there. Full adjustment on the original runners. Only difference thats noticeable is there\'s no clip at the top beside the headrest, but doesn\'t worry me, in the slightest. Thinking I might source couple sets of these seats and make the brackets to suit. Could finish off couple import fds around this neck of the woods ;)
