I have just received my renewal for the fd, I am with admiral at the moment but it has gone up to £627, I am 27 with 9 yrs ncb and my girlfriend who is 22 with 2yrs ncb, but they will not cover mods.
Just gave peter best a call, they wont insure my girlfriend as she is under 25, but they came back with £392 with no mods or declaring mods £427. I have to break the bad news to the missus but i saving myself £200 and can do more mods to my car :cool Highly rate peter best, but the missus will have to wait 3 yrs to drive my baby again ha ha

That leaves me with £200 to spend on the car :-) its going in for full geometry setup for £150 so i guess thats paid for now....

Right scrap that comment about rating peter best, today i have phoned my insurance company and said i donot want to renew, they said shred the policy and thats that so i shredded it. I ring peter best today and as asked for i give them the list of mods, now they tell me i cant have the policy because i have changed the ecu, but the wheels coilovers and exhaust are all ok, so back to the drawing board !!!

I on the phone to sky insurance as I write this, got to be the freindliest insurance company I have ever phoned :-)

Give REIS a go, they love mod\'d cars.
I changed from Adrian Flux to REIS this year and saved £400.
[32yr old, 5 yrs NCB, heavily modded FD (~400rwhp)].
Quote was Fully comp...even includes 4 days track day cover. Can\'t say fairer than that ;o)

They\'ve obviously heard how often your car makes it out the garage and you\'re too much of a tart to take it round a track....:Giggle
